    No.

I'm perfectly content with my life and wouldn't need to know the date of my death in order to attempt convince myself I've had a good run, simply because of my knowing that it's going to be over soon.

As I have very few regrets and am not a person that lives for the future, I would not care to know the date of my death. I don't want to say I live every day like it's my last, but it seems to be a significant part of the ideology and worldview I've created for myself.

I wouldn't do it right then, I would think about it for some time. I would probably just burn it without reading the date. I don't want to know when I die, besides what if it said a later death and I just shot my self right then? In my opinion death should remain a mystery.

I would open it - It would probally force me to get my acts together. I could take a long farewell to my family and loved ones, and not actually die with grudges or anything like that.

I would open it, use the death date to advertise for my own fortune telling service "Look people, to start my fortune telling service, let me predict my own death date ... *chanting* *chanting* ... you know what, my service will only last for 1 more day because I only have 1 more day to live *sigh*"

    Of course.

I'm not one to avoid something that will arrive eventually. Knowing when it's coming would be excellent.

“.. almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

I most certainly would. It would let me get stuff off my chest. Finally be happy with dying. If you read Tuesday's with Morrie you would really wouldn't need to ask this question because it would answer all the questions about death, atleast what I think it would be like.
