So I have a Canadian Paypal, a friend of mine sent me $.30 USD, and on it shows as a received payment, however my balance still shows 0.

When I check in the details it says I have received the $.30 but there was also a $.30 fee for some unannounced reason.

Why is this happening and how can I resolve this?

I'm guessing there was a currency exchange issue, but it's supposed to be like 1% or something. :\

Well .30 is not 1% of .30....I'm afraid to accept any larger amounts on this PayPal as they might be charged a 100% fee as well.

Have the sender check the box saying 'i'll pay the fees'

This used to happen to me sometimes when I gave 76k's.
    Received: 25c, fee: 25c, net: 0c. >_<

But don't worry, the fees are less significant with larger payments.

Any idea how much would be taken if i got sent a payment of $25? And if they check the box is there no fee?

There's not no fee, just the sender has to pay it. You should still get your $25.

I don't know how much the fee would be, but I'm guessing it'd be in the order of $1 - $2
