The lag..

I was pking and kept getting frequent lag spikes, it wasn't just me, the other people around me were too. Does anyone know why?

 

Im sure it has something to do with the website loading adverts.

Even on p2p, the adverts are hidden but i think still load.

 

I was thinking the same, or maybe jagex are just fags. Fullstop.

 

Just runescape in general i think, servers proberly arnt good enough .

 

So, I don't mean to jack your thread.. but is it normal for runescape to take 4 seconds to load a new part of the map when you enter it? (Even off a pvp world)

Depends what world you're in, and the concentration of activity within that space on the world.

 

Its only PVP and BH worlds that lagg for me, it pisses me of. Jagex needs a better server for those worlds.

Im pretty sure its just the server as every one is in the one little spot.

 

This was mentioned on there forums and i believe they are working on that.

 

jagex is doing their job now to update the server,u just need to be patient~~have u tried it on other connection or computer??if yes ,does it lag??

 

i suggest u call ur isp and ask them to port forward ur connection to runescape website,or worst to worst play at a internet cafe,since i think u wont spend too much time on ruinescape , but only to pk on runescape just like me

 

Within the past week I've had severe lag. Like I click and it doesn't show up for 3-5 seconds, and my camera rotation is lagged by a good 10 seconds. My typing is the worst; I type and it will show up 15 seconds later. I've never had lag this bad. Jagex needs to fix it pronto

 

try to pick a pvp world without any "ping" the more ping the worse the lag

 

Yeah World 18 lags for me sometimes and my Ping on that world is under 30, and on World 65 it's like 20.

FIX YOUR SERVERS JAGEX

 

I have lag almost all the time, but I always thought my wireless receiver was the issue, maybe I can place some of the blame on Jagex now!!

 

Clean your cache, flush the dns, choose a world with a low ping. This is what i do an seem's to work well too. Other then that your pc might just be slow or graphics card is cheap.
