Start downloading Cataclysm now!

Not sure if you people heard of it yet....

There's a way that you can download 700MB worth of data right now, so you won't have to download it when Cata comes.

Basically what you do is...

1.Open up your World of Warcraft Folder
2.Go to your WTF folder.
3.Open up the CONFIG and Launcher files (notepad)
4. Look for the following line in the notepad file.

Code:

SET account type

Change the words 'LK' in the quote to 'CT' for both folders., then save the file.
5. Start the launcher and it will start downloading the 700MB file....

There was a blue post giving the O.K for it btw....

In my folder it's CL so not so sure to change it. I'm on the EU one though :/

 

Anyone know when cata buyers get to DL it? lol. Bought the digital upgrade and (as far as i know) i haven't got to DL any cata data whatsoever.

Great find! I personally can't wait for CATA. I'm currently leveling a druid, MY FIRST TOON! and It's currently lvl 70. I'm trying to hit 80 before Cata launches. Thanksf or the find! Saves us 700MB of downloads later on. =) I think I might just be waiting for the disks though. hehe

 

It auto downloads anyway .
