It was a joke, heres the evidence;

 

Jagex gives mods too much power. Plus Jagex has too strict rules. That's what makes the game horrible. You can't say anything without getting muted. I told my friend my age and I got muted for asking personal information? Jagex needs to lighten up a bit.

 

Appeal the mute and mention that the mod was out of line, say something like If the mod isn't able to handle his disgust towards the clan in a reasonable manner maybe he shouldn't be a mod.

Ever since the update, about a month ago. They are now muting people on sight advertising merching clan chats, because 99% Of them are using auto talkers, well deserved and a good mod.

 

You gotta be pretty dense to advertise a cc to someone who's already inside of it.:nuts:

 

You deserved it IMO. I hate people/bots who asks me to join their merch channels.

 

I don't even see that as a joke.

But if you only said it one time, then you clearly weren't using an auto-talker. You should definitely appeal it, only if it's 2 days, just to show it to JaGeX.
