Why I Think That People Dislike Christianity

This ussually is to do with Catholics. This is because Catholic priests are not aloud to have sex with a women.

 

I feel that the media plays a huge roll for why people dislike Christianity. When you hear about a priest molesting children, it's basically blasted around the entire nation, sometimes world, while when a parent molests a child, usually its kept to their state and surrounding states (not always). This is because the Media portrays things for others to perceive issues the same way they believe in that issue. Obviously both are the same offense but because of who he is makes it a much greater reason to 'hate' them.

 

Because a parent molesting their child can be uncovered easily and dealt with- if a priest molests a child, the church covers it up and moves the priest to a different parish, making for an actual danger to everybody else.

 

That's not really it for me.

I dislike Christianity because of the extreme conflict of rational interests. If you knew *as most Christians feel they do) that the path to salvation is through righteousness by Jesus, then you're obviously going to try and tell everybody who's doing it wrong. The stakes are to high: if they are not saved their soul is lost forever.

However, I see no logical reason for this. I can come up with dozens of refuting facts, but I'm not here to preach. So their "saving" me is just plain annoying.

Additionally, the side effects of being blessed with Jesus's way include: righteousness, bigotry, being stuck-up, refusal to bend, etc. These also tend to really piss me off. I don't feel any more "right" in my views than I believe they are; but they seem to have the need to feel that they are the only people who are right.


People are hypocrites, plain and simple. It doesn't bother me any more when I hear that a priest molested a child than when a serial rapist molested a child. We all can't control some of our urges, and it doesn't matter how "blessed" you are.

 

I do not like any religion, if somebody comes up to me and tries to convince me a magic man/creature in the sky created earth then I am going to ignore them.
People try to convert you, they should leave people to decide for themselves.

Religion was created a long time ago and it kept people quite and made people cooperate.

I specifically dislike the pope, he is a symbol of christianity and yes people have to pay to go and see him?

 

Problem i have with the Christan faith is they believe they can force their beliefs onto you. They then talk bad to you when you choose not to follow their god or try to make you a social outcast. In america you must believe in that god or no one will even vote for you or give you a chance.

The first thing they assume is you are gonna suffer eternal damnation if you don't follow their god. Also when asked a series of questions they can never give a rational answer it always comes back to ''faith'' or you have to believe ect. Christianity and all other religions take away the children's ability to critically think and analyze. Religion gives them tunnel vision and teaches them to accept what is told and all facts should be dismissed because these stories is true and stand above anything.
I grew up in a Christan family and I don't follow that path at all and never will til i see some real facts. What i don't understand is we have smart people in the world scientists ect. They are key for our understanding of the world and even they accept this blindly but in their field of work requires evidence to proof their points.

People also give religion a free pass it's a get out of jail free card. You can go to school with a i hate gays shirt and might be excused if you claim it's freedom of religion. The list goes on the fact is religion is the true root of all evil it isn't money it isn't guns it's the people in the religion that poses the real threat.
