Stats got reset? Don't report bug on Runescape -- UPDATED!! [BAN]

All bots look at are the objects appearing on-screen in Rs, I highly doubt they can change something within the game's source which would result in a resetting of a level.

The resets are Jagex and none other.

@OP, can you get the pmod friend to screenshot the email so you can post here?

@deagon, you're saying that a multi-million dollar corporation like Jagex has NO IDEA what is causing a simple stat reset glitch? Get real.
On the other hand, go right ahead and report the bug. See what happens. Have you noticed, on the Runescape forums, everyone who has posted about the bug has been banned?

 

I am 100% sure jagex is not going to tell there mods to straight out lie to every one. I am not sure if it is a java - java clash but what els could it be considering its not jagex, I will give you my main if I am wrong.

 

I can believe this, All though I have heard cases of maxed out accounts getting there stats reset. So I don't know what to believe.

But that reasoning doesn't make much sense.
If they are deliberately resetting botter's skills then they already know/suspect you are a botter. Why would they need you to submit a bug report and entrap yourself when you're already trapped?

And I don't think it has anything to do with amount of exp gained/hr or suiciding 24/7 as i've been suiciding 40h+ proggys with no reset. The way I see it, it must be some sort of unintended bug.
Perhaps they are using bug reports to basically 'look over' your account but if they are doing so it must mean that it is indeed a bug happening to most botters and nothing specifically implemented by the developers. From which we can further imply that they possibly have no idea who has been affected by the resets.

 

Stat resets are due to botting, not a bug. I know I saw from a Fmod (maybe Pmod but I don't think their posts look different of fourms) stating that it was due to botters. I also remember seeing a JMod post on the same subject but I don't remember exactly what was said on there. If you look around you can find that somebody had posted what they said on here.

You have to realize that JaGeX is a company, their main goal is to stop anybody from cheating, botting, etc. and if they need to lie to help bring out those people they will. They want to make money and with accounts being banned i'm guessing they figure that they have a 50% chance that the same person will try to make more accounts and pay for membership to bot again. (MY GUESS, I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE)

well if they are not bugs and they want an easy ban.. its not the way.. since my suicide miner was resetted from 94 to 7 and im back to 77 atm in few days 24/7 mining again.. hes non stop online so it would get banned anyway if they knew i am mining.. why would they simpley reset my skill? this make no sense..

 

Bottox what u just said doesn't make any sense at all..

If they would do it ofcourse they aren't going to tell you so you will be stuck in the botting process until you recheck your bot.

And it's highly possible it's a bug, and they are not gonna check all the accounts for the resets

 

I doubt it's true. Jagex should have no problem automatically detecting people who's stats got reset. All the data is on their servers and they can parse through it and weed out the botters in seconds.

 

There should be a section for 'rare accounts' like these

Only botted 20 lvls too :l 65 was legit

 

have you noticed how stats online get reset down and not increased accidently.... if it was a bug dont you think it would be a slight bit more random wether they are lower or raised... and have you noticed how only stats that are upper levels get reset? why doesn't my 20 agility skiller that im botting atm get reset?

 

No, account information is stored on Jagex's servers. Bots don't interact with that information.

That's not the reason, probably some automated server sided thing that either went wrong or they are pretending like it went wrong.
