11/9/10 update

ver got tired of closing and re-opening the bank so many times when you’re equipping your character? In this week’s update, we’ve updated the bank’s inventory view to offer right-click options on certain items. You’ll be able to equip weapons and armour, eat food, fill essence pouches, drink antipoison and energy potions, and much more besides.

The Equipment Bonuses interface has also had a makeover this week. It now offers right-click options for viewing the stats and weight of your items, and you can ‘Compare’ one item with another to see their stats displayed side by side. We’ve taken this opportunity to list items’ damage-absorption rates along with their other stats - this feature is used by high-level Dungeoneering reward armour. While you’ve got the bank open, you can even toggle instantaneously between the Bank and Equipment Bonuses interfaces by clicking the new buttons at the top-right corner of each. This should help you unequip items and check their stats without shutting the bank.

We expect you’ll have plenty of suggestions for operating other items with the bank open. While the system will always be a bit limited (i.e. don’t ask to combine items or light fires with the bank open!) we’d be happy to hear your requests.

In other news...

Players will find they have temporary immunity from random events should they die to the Corporeal Beast, to allow them the opportunity to reclaim their losses.

Advisor Ghrim has had a right-click option added to allow players to gather their resources a lot faster.

The download speed of the game client should now be anywhere up to 5x faster than it used to be.

The Varrock apothecary has discovered a way to create more than one Strength potion at a time.

I was gettin' a bit annoyed with the bank thinger.

 

This is a pretty good update, I think.

I feel like it should have come out a long time ago, but I'm glad that at least it's here now.
Most useful aspect of this I've found so far is filling rc pouches from bank.

 

The bank update is actually going to be a lot more useful than you realize, and the ease of using, equipping, and general sorting of items will be so much more streamlined than before.
Personally I believe this to be a very important update, despite you not thinking so. Many players do not frequently use the PvP aspect of Runescape, and the other facets of the game such as Monster Killing and Skill-training need just as much attention as Player-Vs-Player activities.

 

Its awsome, but would have liked to see a "Holebank" Price check and "Tab" Price check for runes Ect.

I'm sure they'll implement that eventually. It's only a small step from the price checker to there.
They'd just have to figure out how to display numbers greater than 2.147b.

I Suggested it, a few Jmods said it was a great Idea, but thats was 7 - 8 months ago.

Alt, i love your thinking and totally agree with you. Not everyone plays the game to PK.

 

I am actually pretty exited about this update, this will be very useful when getting ready for a slayer task, etc.

 

One of the better updates I've seen so far! One of the updates I'm waiting for is a new monster with new items which get mad streetvalues such as divines, that'd be great.

And yeah Voda, I'd also like to see a total wealth function somewhere, the sooner the better lol.

 

Dang, I am guessing I will have to wait a few months before the bots update so they can use these features.

 

Well I'm quite glad my AutoThieverPro bot is functioning without fail still despite the update! ^_^

 

It's a good update props to them! Although they really need to fix the pvp and duel arena. They made it crap in the last installment and haven't done anything to save it or at least some what improve it.

 

Thats good about the corp, I would get so pissed and rage so much when I got a random on my way to get my shit back.
