Comments and page visits on user profiles

I'd like to leave people comments on their profiles, noticeable ones like the ones on other forums. Also I'd like to see whose viewing my page and how many visits.


The user profile page is kinda blunt. Maybe custom page layout colors could spice it up a bit.

 

I've seen this done before on a lot of forums. This
would be great for easy communication between buyers,
without the whole 'Private Message' method. I support.

 

Could make it easier but we already have a 250 msg limit which is more than enough to have a conversation with a buyer/seller.

 

Sort of like the system they have on powerbot? Ya that would be sick, definite support.

 

I actually think this would be a great addition - I'd love to be able to converse freely with another member on their profile.

Support, kind of expands the options of contributing to the forums.

 

I like the idea of comments, not so much of who views your profile and how many times. Unless mods could be hidden.

 

Well I think if you used invisible mode, you'd be hidden? I don't know really.

 

I believe this option is available on a different version of vBulletin, which isn't worth switching to.

Yeah, Its actually the version after this, 3.8.

Adding this feature would require a whole update for the forum and all current vBulletin mods will require updating, which is alot of work for Matthew, so essentially the benefits does not outweigh the drawbacks.

It was a really good suggestion though.

 

Support. I've seen this on many other forums, and I don't see anything wrong with it.

 

I support this, it's a quicker and easier than using PM's, although your discussion will be seen by everyone from Sythe, so you would not be able to make any trades using it.

No support, If what Karl said it true this will be to much of a hassle and I don't really like the idea of comments on your profile

 

What if you had the option to approve them first?

 

Eh unfortunately the Modifications and VBulletin Version required to implement this would be a huge hassle to sort out and fix up. While a good idea, it's not going to be feasible.
