Account Recovery.

Is there any proxy that lets you make appeals from the United Kingdom. Got a 138 with all information needed to recover just need to seem like I'm from the UK to get it.

Any ideas?

I've tried a few that allow javascript but it doesn't load the appeal thing and locks it.

 

Just as a heads up they almost never actually read the disputes. My best advice would get an actual friend from the UK that is trusted and have him to do recovery. (If you don't know any one personally that you can trust I'm sure there are some trusted people here that are willing to do it for a small fee.)

Team Viewer should work.

It'd be whoever's computer you access through TV that Jagex sees, and not the one manipulating it via TV.

Lol @ Mr. B, anyways try to switch where it says "your country is: united states" switch that to UK, and then find any good trustworthy proxy. Odds are this will work, if not then you need to find someone TRUSTWORTHY, not exactly Mr. B who 'currently' lives in the UK to do this for you.

using a proxy wont even work. i have tried recovering an account from us because thats where im from. i am in the uk for 3 years. it wouldnt let me do it. so i tried a usa proxy in same state that im from. got denied still. so i just had my cousin do it from his computer and it worked. any company like jagex or yahoo or anything like that knows when a proxy is being used. you can determine if an ip is a proxy just by looking it up. there really isnt much you can honestly do with this. you could....

1. give all your information to recover your level 138 to a random person and they can attempt/do a recovery for you. (this leaves your account in the hands of someone else)
2. pay someone who is trusted in the uk and give all your information to reocver your level 138 (this leaves your account in the hands of someone else also)
3. use team viewer with someone in uk and knowing about 80% of people here on sythe they would set up a keylogger on there computer so they will capture your information anyways.
4. have someone set up a ssh that is in the uk and you just connect to there ip and do it from your computer (like a proxy except its legit ip from someones home in uk)

thats best i can think of.

Only use people you trust. People can set up keyloggers on their computer and hide them from view, and gather your info.

Exactly what i was saying in previous thread. It would be easy for someone to do this. And everyone will volunteer to do a recovery for you because most will want to take your account. Just be careful on this. This could easily become a bad situation.

I would suggest using an OMM for this. They're the only people I can trust with a 138, besides a mod/admin.

 

Use a Socks4/5 proxy. Those can load Java and you can find one for the UK

 

It's going to have to be a private one or else anyone from jagex can google the IP and find the public socks list where the IP was posted. Amongst other ways.

OP your best bet is to find someone in the uk who is willing to start an ssh/socks proxy on their box for you. Ssh can be done with OpenSSH and a normal socks5 proxy can be done with Ccproxy.

Jagex uses SSL on their site, so the person who set up the box can't do with any transmitted data he captures any way. As well as you being keylog proof.
