i d rather buy account with recovery set.

i had this idear today, because account with recovery set doesn't make any sence, account can be recovered by original holder at any time, so i d rather buy account with recovery set, so that i can see his last recovery set date:

for example, if i buy an account with recovery set on 2007- Auguset, i can confirm in past 3 years, this account never got hacked or recovered. but for all account without recovery question set, you can't make sure for this.
(take screenshot of account email set and recovery set is useless, because original holder could still hack it back anytime.)

Uh no. I'd rather not buy an account with recoveries on it. High rate of scamming etc...

 

....either ways, recovery set or no recovery set shown. ORIGINAL holder can still recover with creation date, ISP, etc...

I see, the point is that if the recoveries have been on an account for say, 3 years, that's a good way to see that the account would have only had one owner for 3 years (in that time period, that would indicate the seller is probably the original owner). Considering that according to the above "it doesn't matter" since the original owner can recover the account anyway, this is good reassurance that at least you know where the account's been in the case of old recoveries set.

 

Sort of makes sense if the seller posted the login in a before/after removal screenie, but I really wouldnt want to buy an account with recoveries set. Makes it even easier for seller to recover.

 

Regardless of what anyone says, if the original owner wants to he/she can easily recover the account =|

 

It is true that the original owner can recover the account but if you do have a small amount of info + email and recoveries then it will be easy for you to get it back too. The email recovery system is just a easy way to keep accounts that are not yours. I did a little test with a level 3 and I put in almost all information except email and it was still denied. Regardless, recoveries do not matter but make sure it DOES NOT have a email so the account is atleast slightly safer .

 

Perhaps you could get accountback if you are lucky, but the scammer will take it back again, and if account keeps getting recovered, jagex will ban it with giving reason of " account selling/ Sharing "

 

If an e-mail is set on an account now, you can instantly recover the account regardless whether you have other info or not.
