Eliminating all rares from the game...

its impossible because there are many many santa trapped on accounts from way back in 2001 that havnt even been logged on in 9+ years.

If they went out of existence Jagex wouldn't do anything.. they can't just put them back into the game. The market for them would disappear and I would qq because I want one

Don't you all know by now that Jagex never replaces lost items? there will simply be none left.

 

you could never FULLY get all of one rare, there are tons of unused accounts with rares that haven't been touched in like 2-3 years. jagex would manually have to remove the rare in order to fully get rid of it.

 

I don't think Jagex would do anything.

They never really liked the fact that their rares got so hoarded and inflated.

 

Im temped to think they will release a new discontinued item for their 10th birthday next year, Even though i remember them saying they never would.

I doubt they ever expected to hit 10 years MMORPG, but they did it.

Honnestly i think the game would lose a huge hit of players with no rare's, alot of members do nothing but collect more rare's.

 

why would you drop? if you could collect them all then it would only make sense to hold onto them for a long period of time allowing the prices to soar and then sell them to other very rich players making x1000 your investment back

 

They would just get even more expensive.
But if there were zero left I don't think Jagex would mind as they don't even like rares.

 

It would be impossible to completely eliminate them from the game as some people have them on old unused accounts.

 

Probably cause pandemonium.

 

Jagex would probably not do anything. They would probably encourage the player to do it.

 

I guess it would just cease to be within the game. Jagex wouldn't put more in, how would they distribute them? If I owned them all though, I would drop all but one.
