Terrible site all around it seems

I've dealt on numerous other websites and I've had tons of feedback on them so I did come here with experience knowing how trades break down. Btw this is mostly in regards to your omm service.

I find an account I'm interested in buying talk to the guy etc he says he has all the information required agrees to use an omm and what not so i figure if he's going to use an omm he's surely not dumb enough to try to provide false info.

So I go ahead and decide to pay the omm fee, which is 15.50 not a huge fee but of course for the 5 minutes of effort he spent on this it was a decent amount. So low and behold the user provides false information the omm verifies this. He logs off as he's foiled for trying to scam. And mind you before this I asked the omm what happened to my fee if he scams me well 15 minutes goes by no response, I asked one more time no response.

So here's where I get in trouble I assume this would be refunded, but no he says it can only be used for another trade. So I decide to give it one last shot to find a new trade, and of course people see my low post count etc and try to take advantage so I never did get a refund or anything on this fee. And of course he required the fee up front before he verifies any of the information or anything.

So in the end the scammer gets a free shot at attempting to swipe 155 bucks from me. The omm gets my 15.50 for a few minutes of his time, and for talking on a messenger while doing basically nothing. And i get the short end of the stick here. I should've expected nothing less though having used various other websites where I've built up reputations for buying/selling wow accounts.

I agree that a lot of the users here are trying to scam and/or are here purely for profits but if you look beyond that there is really a great community with some of the users here. Personally I don't do many trades online because of the reasons you listed above and the fact they normally recover after a trade but if I do decide to trade I only do it with a trusted person now. Just a tip of advice but I hope you can find a good trade in the future.

The OMM should not of took the fees up front in my opinion, He should secured the account then the trade would of been through the OMM.

You should report the OMM and the player in my opinion, This doesn't seem fair at all.

 

So you're angry a OMM keeps his fees?

I have OMM'd many trades and this does happen every so often. Nearly all OMMs(including myself) have a disclaimer stating that their payment is non-refundable. You're not paying for a successful trade when you pay an OMM, you're paying for their time. You should be happy that OMM will let you use it on another trade, because I know many do not.

All fees are taken upfront to prevent not being paid. Report the OMM for what? All he did was do his job, it's not his fault the trade went through and the user didn't realize no refunds meant no refunds.

 

You cannot report an OMM for taking upfront fees. If the trade falls through it isn't their fault.

 

Also, why do you call the whole website terrible from one bad trade?

 

You do realize that every time an OMM gets asked to MM a trade, it falls through like 2/3's of the time? The time spent is not nearly as profitable as you are making it out to be, don't blame them because you, even with all your "experience", don't have the competency to find a seller who is going to pull a trick like that on you.

 

First of all, considering you are claiming to be a highly experienced trader, why on Earth are you buying accounts off random Sythe users? Any somewhat experienced trader should realize that 9 times out of 10 they will be recovered. An OMM has no way to tell how accurate the information is, beyond a successful or unsuccessful recovery. Oftentimes the people providing the most legit information still end up failing recoveries, while those providing garbage information somehow manage successful ones.

Also, do you think our OMM's are providing their service just because they love Middlemanning? They are obviously trying to make money from their service, just like any other person would. If you measure how long an OMM is online and how much money he is making during that time, I imagine it is nowhere near minimum wage.

I atleast think the OMM could of replied and said sorry the fees arn't refundable, which is a disclaimer on my thread or whatever.

you think $15.50 for someone clicking a few buttons is fair? OMM should refund if trade fails. i really dont think i could be that mean to take someones money for doing nothing lol.

 

his time like what 5mins? all thats worth in a failed trade is a decent vouch saying that the OMM is awesome cause trade failed and he refunded cash

 

Im going to take a WILD guess and say you have never MMed a trade in your life.

 

The OMM saved you from being scammed. That is what you are paying the OMM to do. Stop whinging.

 

Next time us an OMM not a random.

And if you don't like it, no ones forcing you to stay.

 

I think the OMM should keep the fee to be honnest, Service or time its the same thing. Who wants to listen to 5-10mins of fail trades on a regular basis.

 

Especially if they save you from being scammed... like in the instance this guys ranting about.

 

Pointless rant; the MM just did his job. If you agreed to no refunds, why are you complaining about not getting a refund?
