    Trying to start something

I am trying to start my own 76k service and am wondering if I should do some freebies for some vouches before I start charging. Does this sound like a good idea?

Do like 10-20 frees which is 760k-under 2m which isn't much. Then once you have some vouches etc, start charging.

Just do around 10 freebies and get vouches, then start charging.

Yes, I'd do 5-10 freebies to get some trust then start doing them for a small price.

Why don't you do free skilling services?

And you can't ask for a vouch .

You're always allowed to ask for vouches. You can't sell vouches, but you can surely request one if you think the sale was smooth.

Okay, then I should've been banned months ago for asking for my first vouch in my first sale of an account worth about $45. =|

In this case, the ex-mod is wrong. No disrepect to Gohan, but mistakes happen.

Asking for a vouch is not against any rules as long as the sale was legitimate, and the person isn't lying in their vouch. Otherwise, vouching itself would be against the rules, since the mess created in trying to figure out, "Were you asked to complete this vouch, or did you voluntarily find his vouch page and type it in?" would be way too confusing, so it'd be short time before they do away with vouches at all.

Please do some more research before correcting someone. It tends to make you look like a real ass if you're wrong.

And, no, my posts are not spam because they are relevant to the OP's question about vouching. My original post was to clarify that he was completely allowed to perform free services to gain some trust. He can't require the sale to be vouched, because that's where the sticky part comes in. This post is to clarify that some Leecher was mistaken in saying that I was wrong.

It paid for my yellow phat.

But then again, I was one of the early sellers; there wasn't as much competition.
