I don't see why the record labels are so reluctant to adapt to p2p networking. They are losing more and more money when they fight against change.

Imagine if profiting from music was all donation based. It would totally wipe out rap music. I wouldn't donate to a "pimp" who has "fine hoes", "24s" with "Spinnin Rims"and is going to shoot me with "AK-47s 'n Mac-11s."

It's not condemned either, last time I checked?

You can still torrent it fairly easily and the big video hosting sites (YouTube, etc.) all have large amounts of copyrighted music on them, so I doubt this will do that much to eliminate the problem- it'll probably just force people to go elsewhere to get their music.

Pfft I havent used Limewire in about 5 years, stopped using it because the quality was terrible and usually not what you want. Torrenting is where it's at :p

Limewire honestly is like so 10 years ago. Big boys stopped using it a long time ago.

    I wasn't aware it had been shut-down.
When I try to use it , I'm told to download an update , that's all.
Is this an update to remove it from my pc or something ?

Music label's are essentially losing money from less album sales, but they are actually making more money with all these 360 deals with all these new artists.(rappers, etc.) A 360 deal means the label get's a piece of everything from the Artist, shows, merch, anything entitled to the artist. So infact, we ain't touchin the labels, just the artist. Hah.
