First anime sig

I Feel I am missing something....but what?


The render I started off with was

Seems pretty bland. Text is "jagged"

Not really digging the clipping lines, and the drop shadow.

I'd throw some more FX in there, and try adding "depth" as I don't really see any yet :\

Thanks I really needed someone top reply to thread...I know what you mean I was following a tutorial but some reason idk why when ever I follow a tutorial I end up going my way and it turn out something way different than the tutorial.

 

Yeah- same here

But that's not always a bad thing. I used tutorials to try and get a feel for which tools / effects did what, and how to use them to their fullest potential

And there aren't many active members in this so much anymore :\

Background needs work, also color blending would help.

I agree with you about the color blending lol but what do you mean the background needs some work?

 

Well im just saying that its a very linear background. With anime sigs its great to try to make everything flow as much as possible. I just couldnt help noticing that the lines break the flow quite harshly.

Im not ragging on your sig tho, i love black lagoon. ^^
