That is absolutely ridiculous. The speed of how fast the US's debt is growing is absolutely devastating. Our government promises as so much and promises to help improve that increasing debt, but they're keep lying to us and using OUR money on stupid, pointless things. I honeslty hope this improves as the US could definitely be in more trouble.

 

China will never own US... Clock should be renamed for when China goes to war with US

CHINA WILL RULE THE WORLD ONE DAY!!! The Chinese discovered America first by the way. But anyways, as long as Hong Kong stays the same, I'm happy.

It's crazy how the United States owes soo much money. I don't think the United States will ever be able to pay off that much debt, as I've heard from other people.

Kind of depressing, but the economy is getting better even though we're in tremendous debt. It'll continue to fluctuate, but I wonder how long it'll be till this debt will be paid off, if ever.

No it's not, almost everything in the world is Made in China, China is the biggest populated country in the world right now. China has also created soo many inventions over the past 5,000 years, and if it wasn't for them, life would be a lot different, for example the wheel barrow. China also has the longest recorded history in the world. Mandarin Chinese is also the most spoken language in the world also. I think my post is the most intelligent post ever made, in my opinion.

I'm not sure how reliable the "sources" they have referenced are. They cite a source as "Federal Reserve" or "CBO" without any actual link to the source. I know the US is in debt but this just seems crazy. Crazy I tell you!

 

do u know which country lends the most to the u.s.? china does..... eventually the us will continue to go in debt and china will keep buying up chunks of it

 

i think now that the republicans ahve take control of the house we will actually start to pay down the debt because they made the promise to do that and with the tea party watching them like crazy, there're going to have to do that now and the idea that China is going to somehow own the U.S. is a really stupid idea because if our debt got so big that our economy would collapse, so would China's because they are now dependent on us to buy the goods that they make

 

Oh yes, because no politician, of any side, has promised to lower the debt!

And who cares if the tea party is watching? Their movement didn't actually succeed.

 

they actually did get a number of candidates voted in to office and it does matter that the tea party is watching because the republicans who were voted in with the help of the tea party will have to keep their promises if they want to be re-elected in 2012 and beyond

 

If the US Government cared about being in debt; they would have made a law for a balanced budget years ago.
