    Older account = less risk?

I have heard from a few others that botting on an older account (pre 06ish) makes you less likely to get banned.

I have a lvl 120 account made in january 05 and i played legit on it for 4 years and didnt play at all in 09 then cam back like June 2010 and botted 24/7 (with some pretty badly scripted bots too) I botted 99 hunter, smithing, agility, mining, and fletching within 3 and 1/2th months. Along with botting mort myre fungi to 360m. Again I did this non-stop and I didnt care about getting banned because at the time temporary bans were in place.

OH, i also was banned during the time I was botting and after for encouraging rule breaking and offensive language? Does this mean my account was not under suspicion?

I have not botted for 2 months or so, and now it appears they are giving perm bans and being very strict.

So that leads me to my question, since I was able to get away with botting 24/7 non stop in quick chat worlds is it safe to say my account will not be under suspicion if I bot again?

I have Rsbots.net runecrafting bot and want to go for 99 rc botted. However are they being strict against rc bots? And is this bot reliable enough to not bring suspicion to my account?

Id say this would reduce the risk, there looking for all the new accounts being created to bot and mask cash to junk trade etc, id say this theory is 50/50 tbh and i suppose you just got lucky and botted when you should of :)

No botting is 100% safe. I don't really think age would matter either. I do think if you have 1+ offenses then they will examine you a bit closer.

    I botted 2 accounts, 24/7 @SW.

One was created in '05, the other, like a month before I started this "experiment."

The old one, made it, no ban, the new one was banned after 14 days.

    Be it luck / coincidence, I don't know ;)

I doubt it. My '06 account got banned after a few months of botting. My newer account from '07 has been going for a month with no ban yet.

getting banned is completely random. there are people who bot for 1 week and get banned using paid scripts. there are people who bot 24/7 and dont get banned. I have been botting 24/7 for 1 month on this brand new account i created. i finished tutorial island. walked arcoss lumby to the goblins and spiders there and turned auto fighter on. since then ive been from lumby to the crafting guide for cows, then i moved to chaos druids, then to ankous and now to tzhaar. no ban for me.

change of getting banned is random, but i truely believe, that botting with older account reduces your chance of getting banned.

I tried botting on a level 6 with recover questions dated in 2004. I actually didn't get banned but I did only do 1-80 mining.

Not sure about many of your questions, but I can tell you that the Runecrafting bot you've purchased is absolutely flawless. I've had 3 day proggies. It couldn't get any more human like in any way.

i think that if your account is really old i think it gives you more chance not to be banned

i think they do ban you but not that fast.. since its a old account and many new ones are made to suicide bot, or make big money! so they got to watch them first.. and thats gonna be alot of them. but if you get reported i think they will check your account.. but you can never be 100% sure..
all i have to say is bot safe!

Mabey I will make an experiment with it, I could suicide bot on a worthless lvl 80 account made in 04 and see how far i could get rc on it, if I can get 99 on it I will do it on my main.

Try it on a different account first, if it's good then bot you're main. They're more strict on SorcGarden bots at the moment, as I've felt the raft of jagex. >_>

I think it would reduce risk, but then again high level accounts reduce risk aswell , Becuase people will not report you for not talking to them as they will think your just being another high level snob.
