Jagex sending emails (inactivity)

I checked the box that stops them from emailing me.

 

lol, i also had this after 3 weeks.

 

Interesting, I didn't choose the option when I set up an Email Registration.

 

This is a phishing email.
Their email is not [email protected]
It's something like [email protected]

Its legit.

 

Believe what you want. Don't come back here crying you were phished.
They even tell you when you register your email that they will never email you.
Plus, I have accounts I've not logged on for months and they never sent me any emails.

I got one after I stopped playing for 8 days...weird...(I only logged in to do the event lol).

when you create your account, there is a tickbox to stop them sending you things. I DIDN'T TICK IT.

Also if it was a phish attempt, THE LINK WOULDN'T BE TO THE RUNESCAPE WEBSITE.

1- I was wrong. Thanks to zaxxa for the thread.
2- You don't need to flame me about it. They said for the past 9 years that they would never email you. I haven't ticked any boxes and yet don't receive any emails. Might only work on newly created accounts? And I'm surprised they used @email.runescape. You can't really blame me for being suspicious about it.
