    Jogging & More.

Lately I've been jogging as i want to be able to join the track team my senior year in high-school,it's been going good & my girlfriend has also decided to join me in my jogging after school.

Sometimes i feel like just giving up,i just really started to jog/sprint i'm normally just a walker, and it's very hard for me to keep going.

Alot of the people i hang/chill with push me to keep doing it since they know it's my dream,i don't really want to disappoint myself after doing so much work.

    Any advice?

I went to state all 4 years i was in high school in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, high jump and long jump. If your trying to be distance, the only thing you can really do is lift alot with your legs and just run your ass off. Most of my events required practice though.

Well, I don't run a lot but obviously remember your breathing technique as this is vital, breath through your nose and out your mouth.
    Hopefully I helped.

When i ran the 300m hurdles i had like a 3 stride, breath, 3 stride, breath routine. Idk if anyone else does that but it worked for me because i didnt focus to hard on getting tired.

Have you timed your mile yet? Also what pace are you jogging at? Do you have any goals of what events you want to run and the times you want?

I went to states last year for the 800M, running cross country now, and my 4x1mile team is expected to compete for state championship next year. Answer those questions and I could probably help you more!

Run with others, makes it much easier to run. Also don't kill yourself, stat out small and then slowly go bigger.

High school sports are competive and ya you might have a hard time keeping up atm but if you quit now it will only get worse. We all start somewhere and quite honestly I was a complete wimp my freshmen year and now 3 years later Im worked my way up in the weight room to being one of the strongest at my school. Just remember that hard work will always pay off in the end keep pushing through it and I gurantee you won't regret it!

I'm not exactly sure about this but if you run 10mph for 6 minutes you will have went right at 1 mile. So you do good you will need to run faster than that, so think about what kind of shape you need to be in to run that fast for that long. Then conquer it.
