    How do you study

I'm guilty of being distracted pretty easily. I've already moved my xbox down to the living room so I can't play as my mum has hidden my controller

    What motivates you to study?

I've got tons of coursework to do but I need help in methods so I can just get down to doing it MIGHT even pay for the best advice

I always try to do it in school.

Do it on the bus, do it at lunch. Try to finish it before you get home.

Find someone in your classes to study with. The best person wouldn't be your friend as you both may be distracted. Try to find someone who you don't have much in common with but you don't hate. Once together figure out both of your strengths and weaknesses in the field you're studying. Hopefully you can help one another learn what you're weak in but even if you're both clueless on the same concepts you can work it out together. You know what they say: "Two heads are better than one."

    Studying

I'm pretty independent type person =/ Its more coursework so it's not really group type activity.

Gohan interesting idea about doing it at school but I feel more relaxed in my home.
Like the only thing I don't want is to have to regret it and think about all the time I wasted.
My studies are interesting and all its just the workload is allot but I'm confident I can complete my classes just need to get down to it.

Some stuff that helps me is googling possible career prospects relating to my classes which makes me really want to achieve good grades.

I also have troubles concentrating and focusing on homework. I generally do them the night before it's due.

I have found that playing 1 hour, then studying 1 hour works for me because I used to try to do all my homework at once and ended up surfing the internet, which didn't complete my homeworks and I wasn't playing so I wasn't pleased.

You might want to try this method.

I usually study at home, cause my notes are online, but get distracted easily because there is a tv and a ps3 in front of me, and facebook is there.

Or go to my university computer lab, can actually do some work there easily.

I find it hard too. When I need to do my work though, I disconnect my laptop from the internet and just get on with it. Every time I get really bored I get up and have a drink or whatever, and that usually renews my concentration.

Tomorrow I might take my study stuff to the local library and crack on. I'll see how it goes.

Pretty much the same for me but I'll get off topic then I'll spend hours searching up something completely irrelevant.

a good thing to do is to not hang out with friends and do homework because you always end up doing less than you would if your by yourself. plus you get off topic a lot.

I'm in college now and my motivation for the last few years has been "If you don't do it, and don't do it good, your life will be pointless and you'll have a crappy job making minimum wage" It works for me ha. I'm currently CCNA Certified and currently going for a degree in computer networking.

Thanks to all the suggestions you people are very helpful!

Don't confine yourself to hours of dry material for hours on end. It's mind numbing, and counter-productive. Go ahead and allow yourself to be distracted, but do it to your advantage.
