Range

I am training my range on Yaks and Ghouls but should I use Magic Shortbow or Rune Crossbow? And what bolts or arrows shall I use? Must be cheap because of using it for Training

 

You should use a Magic short bow with Bronze/Iron arrows, with an accumulator

 

are you getting hit by either one of them? like enough to need to eat? if so then use crossbow so you can use shield. if not i would use magic and like some iron arrows. but thats me

 

I'd say use zamorak book and knives/darts for the best training

 

I use Magic Shortbow but I try to buy Bronze arrows because they are 9gp each but no one tends to sell it in Grand Exchange

My defence is high enough so Yaks and Ghouls always hit 0 but Iron Arrows are 20K+ for each 1K arrows, kinda expensive just to train

Knives and Darts are expensive than arrows

 

ok well how much money exactly do you have then? if your poor then buy the cheapest things you can buy. i dont even know what they are. hell get a sling if you cant afford much.

 

Depending on your range level and slayer you could use rune c bow with broad bolts

 

I have 10M but I don't want to waste that much money just to train range, want to save up to get something else

My Slayer level is 60+ but broad bolts is expensive

 

Use Msb and id say steel> better arrows, depends on your cash.

 

if your not willing to spend 20k on 1k iron arrows, your not willing to train ranged. thats the cheapest way there is, besides using a sling [yeah, have fun]

just fork out 200k on 10k iron arrows, sulk it up and go train.

 

Use a magic shortbow, and get iron arrows and an accumulator. If yak's is too slow, try rock crabs.

 

Faster hits = faster xp.

Hence, xp-wise:
Knives > bows > c'bows
