Request an avatar thread.

Either build a better system of doing so or ask globals if they can try a bit better to complete the smallest task on the site.


My idea could sound pretty unrealistic but means well. How about let us apply our own avatars, but instead of them showing immediately let them get approved first before they actually get applied kind of like a spam report.

 

It only takes a few seconds to do so, not only that most globals never try to change the avatars it's always the same ones that do it like Tyro. Pretty sure it shouldn't take a week for a few clicks. If they have time to wonder around and buy sell and trade, than they have time to change my avatar.

 

I agree, its a bit disappointing when i can't change my own avatar that i've paid to be able to be bigger. :|

 

When I was Global Moderator I would try and visit that thread every day, as would Verts - but since our positions have changed I no longer am able to, and she has more important issues to deal with. I guess other Global moderators just have more pressing issues than changing an avatar for a member.... Regardless though, why does it matter if it takes 2-3 days for your avatar to be applied? It's not a crucial thing to have, and you'll get it changed eventually - some members want a new avatar every second day, and it gets blimmin' annoying sometimes keeping up with it because they can't make up their ruddy minds. How about you just keep with the same avatar for a longer period of time like most other people, and then the waiting period for it to be changed won't seem like an eternity.

 

My request change has been there for a week now.

I do support this thread but it does not effect me if it does not get approved. It really is not that big of a deal if you have to look at the same picture next to your name for a wee bit longer

 

I'm afraid we're not going to have Matthew program a new system over this issue... Denied.
