Runescape items was what they wanted, but them beating him and pulling a knife is illegal. They should get a few years atleast. Just for what they would do just to get some Pixels.

Exactly, the lawyer apparently was arguing about the bloody runescape transfer when they were obviously going away anyway for the assault with the knife.

he probably just posted that just to mess with you all. but in the us virtual goods theft isnt anything the law will bother with. but in alot of european countries if you steal "vitual" goods then that is considered theft. alot of kids that scam people from the uk or countries like the netherlands dont realize that it is actually against the law. if the scamed person actually took it to the cops then something could actually be done. one thing i like about being in the air force here in the UK, work about 50 feet from the MOD so if i ever get scammed i would have no problem talking to them.

 

I wonder what they meant by a mask and a amulet? Maybe a Halloween mask and not sure about the amulet lmao.

 

I can understand that this kid got beat up and put at knife point, that probably warrants a criminal record itself, but I couldn't see myself going to the police station and telling them someone scammed me on a Runescape forum... its just not really practical is it?

 

I wanna know how they transferred the items in the first place. Was this just before the trade limits?

 

I assume so, unless they got him to drop it in BH/PVP world or something.
Possibly if it had street value made him sell it to their accounts?

if i paid (which i wouldnt anyways) 200$ for a runescape account and then it got taken back i would go to cops. If i sold a account for 200$ (i would) and the buyer didnt pay then i would go to cops

 

That's the thing again, what are you going to tell them..."emm, I sold my runescape account to someone online (even though its against the games rules) and he didn't pay me back"...I don't think the police would care that much, if at the most post an inquiry or something.
