    Time Travel...

Will it ever be possible? No...

    Black Hole Theory
Some humans believe black holes take you through Space and Time

From what I've heard and read about the balck hole, I don't believe anyone can enter a black hole and live. You would be compressed It would be like being crushed slowly without being touched. I'm just wondering if we can travel underneath it. If so, then we would know for sure it leads to another galaxy. It would be proof that time and space can be "torn" to go somewhere else. Aside: You are only compressed in the relativistic dimension of travel. As you approach the speed of light you get less thick to an outside observer. To you, the traveler, everything is just fine. There are a couple theories scientist have come up with when travelling a black hole.
» 1. You die very slowly...
» 2. You do make it through and journey where no living thing has gone before but you get sent to a endless pit of seeming less matter and gravity
» 3. And finally some people believe you would travel so slow through the hole that by the time you do make it through assuming that the black hole is actually a rip in space and time you would be in the future... (Remember though while you travel through the hole you would be squeezed together until your pretty much nothing to an outside viewer...)

    Time Travel through A ``Machine``

Time doesn't really exist. It's merely a concept that exists because our lives eventually come to an end. Therefore we need to keep track of time. It is impossible to go back in time because time is only a mental concept. For time travel to be possible there would have to be an infinite number of realities all playing each moment simultainiously. Even so we would have no way of accessing these alternate realities. (Aside: Einstein says something about relaity that is applicable to time as well. He stated "Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistant one.

    To The Point
Time doesn't exist its just a mental and physical concept, mental because it cant be touched by anything, and it is physical because we can exist in it.

    Time Travel...

Time travel is theoretically possible, although you could only go to the future and not the past.

    http://books.google.com/books?id=Di...&resnum=2&ved=0CDkQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q&f=false Page 48.

Time is affected directly by gravity. The only way to time travel is to travel at the speed of light or have a vastly different gravitational pull as everyone else around you (slow or speed up time)

Time does in fact exist, it just isn't linear. It can be affected by one of the fundamental reactions, the most being gravitation.

    Time Travel...

But the theory of time travel is to able to go into the past present and future... not just the one...

You could travel at a faster speed than your surroundings and I guess go into the future but how would you go by doing that without yourself aging.. If someone traveled at a certain speed through time wouldn't you just be speeding up your own life and in general killing yourself?

    Time Travel...

Theory isn't the correct term, as a theory is a plausible educated explanation of some aspect. Science disproves past time traveling. The general population knows time travel as past, present, and future based on media, not facts.

But based on your direct relation to gravity, you yourself will age at a constant rate. You don't speed up or slow the aging process. What you can do is speed up or slow down time around you. Everyone else (with a different relation to gravity) will seem to age more slowly or more quickly.
On Earth, there isn't a situation where you can substantially have a different aging speeds. You can't be like 25 and have someone born the same day as you be 50.
If you had two countdown timers, and you placed one at sea level and one on everest and set them for 100 years, the one on everest would go off first. My guess is only by a couple of seconds.

Also, a black hole isn't an actual hole. It is ultra-dense mass that nothing can escape it's grasp, not even light. The combination of the ultra-density and a huge gravitational pull make this possible.

    A black hole distorting light.

Wormholes on the other hand are theoretical "tears" in space-time. However, Einsteins equation for a wormhole is simple and inaccurate. If wormholes did exist according to his equation, the middle of a wormhole would have a diameter of 0, making travel through a wormhole impossible.
Wormholes are also a means of time-travel.
