Anyway. Been dating a girl long distance. No it isn't a we meet online bullshit where I have never met her. She used to live here, and ended up moving.

Anyway, called her a bitch on the phone yesterday. Jokingly of coarse but this isn't the first time I "accidentally" called her names. Last time she said if it happens again we're done.

So she breaks up with me. She said if I can prove I can change she'll take me back.

Problem is, how the fuck can I show her this. I live too damn far to "show" her anything. I'm not going to buy her shit-tons because that doesn't show anything, just that I can buy shit. She's also not into me buying apologies.

This is also an extremely serious relationship. I plan(ed) on moving to where she lives in about 6 months, and I've done brief engagement ring browsing. This is not a high school relationship where all I care about is sex. I'm almost 20...

Any suggestions on ways to show her I'll change?

Plus plane tickets are way too much on this short of notice for a college student.

 

Tell her you'll come visit her during winter break, which you should have. You could spend all the time you want with her.

What more does this want then? You love her, you're making plans to visit her, engagement shopping, you're doing good things. You should visit her as soon as possible though. She's probably just buggin out from the whole long-distance situation.

 

She's had past self confidence issues (what girl doesn't) and even if I'm joking she freaks if I call her a bitch, piece of shit, etc.

Also, I have a long history of saying I'll change and never do, so I can understand her frustration. In the past I have said I'll make things up to her and never really have. I'm not really going to "change" as in my personality and whatnot, just refrain from doing some things.

So yeah, right now I'm making her a collage with a letter I wrote her overlaid in photoshop. Hope it does it.

 

Honestly man it just sounds like she's done with you. If she was as serious about you as you were about her, I doubt she would take such a forceful step from something like that. I would take the time to seriously ask her if she wants to, or ever will, get back with you, and gauge her response. But from personal experience, it sounds as if she's just done...

Mm, you never really can change your personality. You just need to keep in mind there's a different in calling her a bitch when your with her and you can hug her jokes aside, rather than calling her a bitch on the phone and saying "i'm joking" lol.

Obviously I was joking, she even knows that. She's just upset that I can't control what I say, which is somewhat true.

 

ffs yes. She used to live here, then she moved. We dated before she moved. Her dad lives here and her mom lives there, so before she was 18 I saw her pretty much every holiday, and I went down there occasionally. She came to my junior prom and I went to her senior.
