I recently came across a Youtube video, which features a person using websites to phish runescape accounts, and selling guides on how to phish for $15 - $35.

He phished many accounts, some with net worth up to 1000M, and street value of much more. When he phishes, he usually either dies to a friend, or pks away all the total net worth, ridiculous.

    http://www.youtube.com/user/UbertasticlyExtras#p/u/16/kIsOmAMheHs

This totally disgusts me. Yes, the victims were probably stupid, and dumb. Still, this shouldn't be acceptable and he should not be proud of phishing accounts. Imagine the time being put in into these Runescape accounts, and the joy the victims had from Runescape, taken away , in an hour.

They probably worked for years , and now it's all gone.

If i knew him IRL, i would probably Punch him hard in his face/ Report him to the authorities ( if they actually do care ).

I wish he would die, really. These people ruin the society, be in online or real life.

To be honest if I knew him IRL I'd try and get some 1m+ tricks from him.

But why? He stole it , probably made that person really sad for a period of time , and you want to gain something out of it...?

The hacker/phisher's behaviour is totally unacceptable.

In a game he would hack accounts, would he proceed on to hacking bank accounts ( if he knew how ) in real life later?

Obviously the answer you would give immediately probably is "NO, that's ridiculous."

Sadly, as these people progress on in life, they will start looking for greater thrills/ great 'achievements' to make them feel prouder.

If you know his main account username, report it to jagex via [email protected] for an account hijacking.

The really bad ones are the ones that do a "Social Experiment" in which they become your friend until you give them enough info to either recover or steal their account.

At least regular phishing requires some measure of stupidity on the loser's side...

It's sad and pathetic, although from the other point of view you shouldn't be stupid and enter your account details on their fake website. So in the end it only works with 2 stupid people.

Phishing is nasty, and definitely wrong, but to be honest, if you're stupid enough to get phished then I don't really have any sympathy for you. If people just thought about what they did and paused for a few seconds they wouldn't end up losing their accounts. I've never been phished, I've always checked websites I was linked to before I even thought about logging in.

Well, it's a lesson they will learn. I'm sure most of us have learned it the hard way.
