M2 and MicroSD work in the same slot?

I have a Sony Ericsson w350i or w350a phone, and I used a memory card called M2 by Sony, it's 512MB right now. I'm planning to buy this from NewEgg, will it work with my phone? It's MicroSD and 8GB's of space.

As long as M2 is the brand name and not the card type, then yes. I remember that Sony made these longer "MicroSD" cards for their cameras a while ago, and they wouldn't fit in anything but Sony adapters. If it looks like a MicroSD than it will work.

 

Sony is the brand name on it. And says in bold or in larger letters "M2". So I have no idea what to do now.

Just took a look at it, it's not going to work with a normal MicroSD reader.
