Bank picture ish?

I make money through skilling and long term merching. Basically i buy items, and hold them until clan picks it up. My most recent one was nature talismans. I held em for about 2 months. Dumped them at 4.5k each. Made profit of 320m. I know I could have made over 800m profit if I had held onto them but I take some profit over none.

And these are my ge offers. Items not shown for obvious reasons. I'm doing solo buyout.



The total in this comes out to about 1974m. However, most of the items I have are sellable max in ge so it's easily over 2b. Rage away.

i posted that on the thread about amulet of accuracy. I wanted to buy them out but i noticed they were already bought out so there was no point in trying to buy as i'd only get 100-200 a day. So i figured i'd buy them out once they crash. But jagex decided to nerf them and not make amulet of accuracy "semi discontinued" (since you could only get it from completing the quest and only one per account). They're planning on being able to craft the necklace/get it back somehow if you lose it. So I decided to forget about them and find something else to buy out

How low did you think they'd crash? For you to pick up with your ~800m in cash?
It'd have to be like 5k each, lol. Or else no buyout for you.

i wasn't buying out every single stock in game. i was going to get as many as I can because they were very underpriced for the fact that you can only have 1 per account. Once people would realize that, they would automatically go up. That was my thought.

I stick with stable items that haven't been touched in over few months. They are good candidates to be picked up in near future.

Prior to that I made all of my money from skilling. Never had claws/gwd drop. Only had 1 ely which i got extremely lucky with

Sorry a bit off topic, but how do you feel about picking up uncut sapphires/emeralds right now?

Sapphire looks like a good candidate to me for 3 reasons
1. There hasn't been a big fluctuation is price
2. Emeralds were picked up after sapphires so the likelihood of them getting picked up before sapphires is low.
3. Sapphires cost nearly 150% less than emeralds. So even if they do drop, they won't drop nearly as much as emeralds and you won't take big loss

 

That's some crazy profit you've made there.

It's just a matter of time before items get picked up so all it takes is patience. There have been times where I have held onto items for 4 months until clan picked it up. And there's for instance this current merch I am doing which got picked up the very next day after I finished buying.
