Because Will is unwilling to take responsibility for an issue that is clearly not in his favor, that the majority of the community has spoken on, and that an admin has made a recommendation for in order to keep his pockets lined.

I'm not trying to interfere with the highly-trusted members of sythe here, but "R2pleasent" needs to man up here and pay the price.

I don't know if most of you taking his side have no business experience or any logical thoughts, so let me explain it to you quickly. "James" was basically his employee. Either that or they were BUSINESS partners. "R2pleasent" gave "James" his good name and rep in exchange for 50% of the profits. And if he wasn't an employee (as explained before), he was a business partner. If your business partner scams someone in your business, you are also held responsible.

I could go on for a few more paragraphs but that's just the shortened version of my argument. Not trying to flame, it's just my $0.02 .

    For clarification, Will = R2. James = Will's associate.

Unless there is proof that the account was recovered by the original owner, snappie should be reimbursed IMO.

Didn't Will openly admit that yes, James scammed, but he doesn't think he should be held accountable for refunding it?

I've always trusted William with my accounts Ive dealt Close 600$ with him now without a single problem.

IMO, Will shouldn't be held responsible for the account because we are all in the wrong here as RWT is a Illegal offence that Jagex is providing. We take the risk, breaking the rules.

Also if James was granted a personal email address from R2Psales or w/e then I could see, Will being responsible for this employee.

I don't think reimbursement is due.

See below. Or, better yet, simply ask Will. Or even more logical, lets consider, is James banned? Of course, because of the multiple scams. Now if you read the posts in the OP, you will see where R2 directly referenced James as his associate, and that he should be contacted concerning all accounts that members wished to sell to him.

    Thats what its looking like.

Seriously done, this is just crossing the line. Will has acted extremely unprofessionally before, in multiple instances, and somehow manages to weasel his way out of it by using subjective rhetoric such as how "associate" doesnt equate to "employee". If he endorsed him, and said James would handle the sales for R2's account purchasing thread, then he is liable for James scamming, regardless of the irrelevance of whether or not OP was original owner of the account.

Hope Pen follows through on his very wise assessment of the situation.

so why again isn't there a ban or refund?
does it matter how much "good" r2 has done for the site or in general in the past if he scammed now because whose to say "james" isnt r2.....
Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely

also who the hell cares if he was a business partner associate or friend or a random person R2 clearly said contact this person for his account sales so therefore it makes r2 responsible.. he should have picked a better {whatever you want to call that guy} R2 chose a guy to do his dealings for him. which means you are trading with r2 thru another that r2 chose

sorta like if a person attempts to sell an acc and then that seller introduces a fake mm to the trade...its the same thing imo

sythe needs to make some serious changes if they will let people slide yet ban other people if you break a rule you break it stop with business/associate bs its clear that r2 was the head who picked a guy to do his dealings which means r2 is placing his trust on that guy so if hes not ready to boss up and repay him
and on the topic of repay it doesnt matter if the account was worth 300 or 30 Snappie is the VICTIM

He is by no means corrupt and has rightfully earned the highly trusted rank. He just has begun to place more emphasis on stuffing his wallet then on providing a good service.

It's all it is to me as well.

I completely understand R2Pleasents stand point and where he comes from in his position, and if I had that kind of position in his current pickle, I would probably mimic what he's doing. Money is money to me, and it's difficult to willing "give up" 300 dollars like that.

But nevertheless, he still completely put his supposed trust into James, especially stated in that post, and if he respects his position as he has rightfully earned, he should put things back into alignment.

Agreed with Nate though, order should be enacted here.

    Cheers.

and nate the corrupt thing i was referring to tyro on r2's junk making every bend to make it look like r2 shouldnt be responsible
i think it's cause they are giving special treatment which means corrupt with the whole associate business partner thing

basically trying to find every way to not be responsible come on man up if i were to open a account buying thread and said on it give your info to this guy on my behalf since i dont have enough time to do it myself or what have you and he scammed an account of someone it would make sense if i was held responsible right since i took my good name and vouches made a thread saying go through this guy.
