You say you banned him, but you also say there's no proof he scammed. As far as I know, there has to be proof someone scammed before banning that person.

Actually, I did say I wasn't the original owner. It was the second thing I told James after giving him the username. He said "if the info recovers and you abide by our rules, it's not a problem", and I thought I did had enough info. And in the form James provided, I did wrote I wasn't the original owner, and it got accepted. So it's actually you who's lying now, by stating I lied and admitted for lying, as I never lied or admitted I'd lied.

I think you should read everything posted by other people here.

    What's your point?

What I'm saying is that due to the nature of account sales there is no real way to govern them. Account ownership is never actually transferred, original owners can always steal them back, and 99% of the time they do.

I banned him as a precaution.

Well if the info was good enough why doesn't it work for you now? If the information you provided was half-decent, the original owner should be able to recover the account with it NO PROBLEM. How can you actually attempt to sell an account which you do not securely own?? What would happen if Jagex locked it? What would happen if the original owner stole it back from you?

My point is that if you can't recover an account you are trying to sell, you shouldn't be selling it in the first place, because it's not yours.

I doubt that is allowed, but it's not up to me.

As I said, I thought I had enough information. The account was recovery tested when I bought it and I recovered it from a lock due to IP change.

I lol'd at this so hard. So what were you going to do with all the accounts you bought? As you just said, you shouldn't be selling accounts which are not yours.

We act in the best interest of the website.

Well what do you think the almighty James could have done to make you unable to recover it? Put his own recovs on? Anyone with good info on an account can recover it through Stolen Password recovery, which resets recoveries.

The whole thing is before I personally send any payment for an account, I test the info myself and make a judgement call on the situation. I also have the buyer read and agree to a disclaimer which states I am not responsible in the case of a stolen account.

When I buy accounts, that situation is reversed. The seller IS responsible for the account. If it is stolen, I will charge back the cash. If their information doesn't work in a recovery, I charge back the cash. Bottom line though, I really try to stay away from the cesspool of account trading. It's an incredibly flawed system which is absolutely overrun with scams and fraud.

One example is this trade right here. You think you should receive $300 for an account you don't even have control over. I think you're in the clouds.

    1) except for the numerous scam reports against him.

    4) surprisingly unconcerned manner of handling the situation, saying that since someone else does it its ok.

Overall a disappointing response from someone who wears the ranks that you do.

    Just thought i'd pitch in...

"You don't even have control over." He had control over it, until James came along.

"I think you're in the clouds" was a bit pushy, seeing as how you vouched James, putting your trust on the line to support him.

I don't see how you think it's okay to endorse someone and then allow him to take someone else's property away, then center your argument around the diction of associate vs employee.

Try to imagine me looking at a thread by one of the most respected people here on sythe buying accounts. Do you think I ever expected to get scammed?

By saying this you just admitted he's working for you, not with you.

    Code:
By providing this account you acknowledge that you are the original owner of the account, and that you are transferring full ownership to R2Pleasent Gold. Any attempt to recover the account will be considered fraud, and the appropriate legal actions will be taken by R2Pleasent Gold in response to this action, including, but not limited to, releasing your information to legal authorities.
I may be blind, but I cannot find it.

That has nothing to do with this thread.

Quote me where I say I want a refund.

Yea, so where does James come in? I don't see why you need someone else to gather your accounts, unless of course they're working for you...hmm owait he's just an associate and doesn't get anything from it... seems logical right?

If this is relevant, I showed R2Pleasent proof over MSN that James owned multiple phishing sites (which James admitted on his on volition) before this trade ever happened, but James wasn't banned.

Why was he working with him when he knew that he owned multiple phishing sites? That's like helping a scammer?

I looked into that briefly but was unable to link any of it to James. I also spoke with him about it.

Common now Will this is getting to be excessive. Is it really going to be that difficult to repay a person who was scammed by your employee with all the money you have made from the site thus far? How about you live up to the trusted rep that you have and make the situation right before you lose even more credibility with members of this forum...
