Guitar Hero 6 - Warriors of Rock

I just bought Guitar Hero 6 - Warriors of Rock, with the new guitar. It was £70 >_<

Has anyone played this game yet? What's it like? How is the new guitar?

After Guitar hero 2, that game went down hill, no where near as popular, guitar hero 2 was good, guitar hero 3 ended its hipe.

 

I've never heard anyone say that before. Meh, lets try and stay on topic at least. I personally think it's a great game.

Was thinking about getting it. Really don't like the song list though. Too much gay shit.

 

I wish Activision would give up on throwing out guitar hero sequels. The last good game was III.

They should make one, updateable game and continuously release songs over time.

 

Really? In my opinion it's got the best song list yet. I heard you can import songs from older GH games, is this true?

 

I have GH2, didn't bother buying the others though :\

Yes, this is true, if you have the unique ID from the previous games. Which means you have to own the previous guitar hero game that you are trying to import songs from.

I think gh6 is pretty sweet, I don't know if i like the "quest" that much but quickplay+ is cool. I just wish there were more people to play with online, because i really enjoy head to head things but it seems there's no one online playing expert.

 

Do you have to have the actual disc to import songs? I'm not sure what you mean by the unique ID.

 

Despite my doubts about this game, I purchased it.

I enjoyed playing the quest mode, but thought it was too easy with all of the powers; I didn't fail one song on expert. I like playing online in QP+.

I have this brilliant plan to import all of the songs from previous games. The only title I've owned that you can import is World Tour, but I traded it in to Gamestop a while ago.

My plan is this:

I go in to gamestop and looking through the new or used games for all the Guitar Hero titles you can import. I'll open the cases and obtain the Unique IDs from the back of the manuals, and leave.

Bam, every song without paying for anything.

 

I have gh 2, 3, and metallica. I don't plan on buying any other guitar hero. i think they're trying too hard.

I've also had world tour, but the songs on there were way out of my taste.

I'm the same way, and there are a lot of tracks I enjoy playing. Some are very challenging.

 

Indeed. I play more rock band 2 now. I'm not super hyped on getting rock band 3, probably because I don't play a lot of games anymore. But whenever I do play, I play downloaded content, which is a big plus for rock band.

If it was possible to download all of Guitar Hero's downloadable songs to their different games, like rock band, then i think it would be great.

Plus, Rock band offers so much variety of music, that I can even choose death metal (which i practice on) for my drumming needs.
