## Recent Jagex Update

As many of you are aware, Jagex recently made a newspost regarding a new C++ client. They stated that they will no longer be offering the java client as their *standard* client. Subsequently, the C++ client is now the default client and in the future we can assume that the java client will be removed, as it was with RS3 in the past.

## Development Insights

Our team of developers have already spent some time reverse engineering the new client, and we can safely say that it will not be difficult for us to support. If and when the java client is discontinued, we can assure our users that there will be a smooth transition. As far as scripters concerns go, not to worry - Inubot will continue to offer a Java API, so your scripts will remain functional without any further changes required.

According to Jagex only a small percentage of users used the official java client, and that number will drop even more now. This makes it questionable for bots to even appear to be using that client.

Now let's talk about the interesting part - the present. We've already come up with some great ideas to deal with these issues, and we even have a measure ready for todays update! After reverse engineering the C++ clients protocol, we've decided to implement that protocol in Inubot and release it to the public. This could all potentially knock out a lot of flagging that Jagex does when detecting bots.
