Walking from DC to California after rally to restore sanity.

I'm going to the rally to restore sanity on Oct 30th, then walking from DC to California.

Anyone here want to join me? Anyone who is tired of their boring, planned-out existence? You get to see the US, meet new people, actually get out and do something adventurous and life-changing.

All you would need is a backpack, money for food, and some way to store water.

I'm a 21-year-old male. I came back from basic training/AIT in January. I'm looking for some kind of challenge to take on. I figure this will keep me busy for the time being.

 

what's the walk for?

 

For nothing more than the experience and adventure of it. If there's some charity that can benefit from it, I'd be glad to help, but it's not the main purpose of it.

I guess it's a bit of a Forrest Gump approach.

 

That's a great idea man. You should wear some name clothing, like advertising along the way. The most I have ever walked is 71 miles, so I wish you the best with this journey.

 

I'm in no position to even do this, but that actually sounds quite exciting and fun.

I really love this idea. Personally I love walking. If I lived anywhere near DC and didn't have school, I'd walk with you.

I'll be carpooling up to DC on the 28th, then starting the journey after the rally, maybe the night of the 30th.

 

man holy thats gonna be a long long long long walk and you would need at least 2000 bucks to blow off for hotel, food and stuff... good luck man i dont think i would ever do this even if i was getting paid LOL

 

It sounds like a lot of fun really. I don't currently have a way to DC though. Plus I have like a job and stuff

 

I'm not gonna lie, that almost sounds painful it would take months to complete that walk. But best of luck and if you do manage to complete it, you're a champion in my book lol.

 

Bring a smart phone and blog at least daily about your adventure. Stop and meet some people. Advertise. Make the news. Boom. 15 minutes of fame.

im guessing you are in the national guard, which i am too, down in NC

From d.c to california is like a 3 day drive lolol... Would be like a 4 month walk and also demands thousands of dollars to do it and not to mention you probably wont make it. If you wanna do something to occupy yourself, make 1billion gp on rs and sell it. You get money and stay unbored for a long time ha.
