What do you think the driving age should be?

It should depend on how good they are at driving. Age doesn't equal skill.

I completely disagree, just because lets say a four year old can drive better than most children in his hot wheels motorized vehicle, doesn't mean he can handle all the pressures that come while driving on road. Maturity and lots of practice should always be the number one factor while getting your drivers licence. Age should always play a role, even though everyone matures at a different age I still wouldn't want to be driving around a bunch of thirteen year old cocky bastards. So I'm going to say either sixteen or seventeen.

    What?

You misunderstood what message I was trying to convey.

Of course a 4 year old can not drive a real vehicle. That's absurd, and makes me think you're trolling.

"Maturity and lots of practice should always be the number one factor while getting your drivers licence." That's what I meant. Even people older than their teens are horrible at driving, yet they still continue to do so.

If a 13 year old is mature enough and responsible enough to handle a vehicle, then I wouldn't have a problem with it. The thing is, that's very rare to come across.

When I said skill should be the determining factor, I didn't completely exlude age. I just believe it's more important. If a 16 year old is better than a 40 year old at driving, they should be the ones with the license.

I believe a person should be 18 years old to drive.

    I would say 21.
It's 18 ATM in my country but a lot of people around that ages aren't mature enough.

I remember seeing an article about a relationship between age and how well you drive. I believe it was Canada that has a higher driving age, but roughly the same other requirements to get a license in the US and drivers in Canada were much less likely to be involved in an accident. However, I do not have the source.

I live in the US and for the most part, driving tests are very easy. If there were more strict requirements and a much harder test, I would not have a problem with teenagers 15+ driving. I like being able to drive, but the test is really too simple as of current and makes it so that anyone can drive even when they suck.

Maybe it is the test's difficulty that needs to be increased, and not the minimum age of the driver.

It doesn't really matter, 16 is reasonable. There are shit drivers for every age.
