Introduction
------------------------------------

Hey there everyone and welcome to BitRune! BitRune is brought to you by the one and only Cjay0091, and has been in the works for nearly half a decade. BitRune will provide you with the ultimate OSRS experience along with unique pre-EoC content. BitRune is an economy-based server with a 1:1 OSRS revision that will contain several features from top tier PVM (including Nex, ToB, CoX, etc.), flawless PVP, (including loot keys, daily PvP tournaments, wilderness slayer, etc.) nostalgic gambling (including the old duel arena, dicing, and flower poker), and much, much more. Game direction and design will be driven by the community through our discord suggestions and polling system.

The goal is to cater to as many players as we can by concentrating feedback from the suggestions we receive, conducting polls for the community to vote on, and finally implementing content or changes that were well received by the community. We are excited to offer a fresh RSPS experience that is built up by the very players who invest so much into the server. As long term fans of the game and members of both the RuneScape and RSPS communities, we are hoping to offer a game experience that we would enjoy first and foremost. We pride ourselves on offering a fair and fun experience for all players; we will not be offering pay-to-win mechanics of any sort, and will instead offer an assortment of cosmetics through the store.

Recent Updates

Spoiler: 09/06/23 - Revision 215 Update, HDOS and Mobile Support

The launcher will provide you with two options to play: RuneLite and HDOS! We have recently updated to the latest revision of OSRS and with that we moved from 209 which was from October of 2022 so it's been quite some time. In that time there was some major updates which we will update soon, including wilderness rework, DT2 bosses, phantom muspah, and forestry.

Spoiler: 09/10/23 - House Advertisement, Loot Keys

Loot keys work the following way on Bitrune: on death if you have max keys it drops the items on the ground. Settings for skulling are all implemented. We will have a poll for if we should have it enabled by default or paid for 1M gold like OSRS. In this update we also worked on explorer's ring, had HDOS Maps updated to the latest as they reworked MLM and it's loot tracker was previously not working. We also added ava's accumulator's collection feature.

Spoiler: 09/22/23 - Reworking Teleports

This is a rework of our existing interface as previously we lacked support for media, descriptions and search capabilities. Alphabetical and categorized searches will allow for a smoother player experience. Teleports are lockable/unlockable, but I've yet to determine to what degree. Feel free to throw ideas in our suggestions thread.

Spoiler: 09/22/23 - Unlocking In-Game Titles

This took quite some work to complete actually as HDOS required some patching and ... that's never fun. However, we got it done and I'm happy to see it in the game. You can suggest titles in our titles suggestion thread. These titles will be unlockable via in-game achievements and we'll have unique ones as well for donators, beta testers, loyal members, etc.

Spoiler: 09/22/23 - Account Presets

This was built from the ground up and the interface overall was very fun to make! By default players will have 5 presets for free. You will be able to unlock more through achievements and perks via higher donation status. It supports equipment, inventory, rune pouch and your spell book! Modifying your spell book in the interface will be a premium feature, however the altar will be a short walk away. In the future we will support quick prayers as well (given demand warrants our focus on it).
