One thing i like about sythe's GFX forum.

Less advanced members can give critique to more advanced members and not get flamed and its taken seriously. Something i haven't saw much of in other forums.

 

That's something I also appreciate in this section - and it's quite warming to see. Regardless of the skill level of the person giving critique, there are always things that they point out that you may have missed and help you improve - Many less experienced members have actually helped me a lot more than they realize; what may seem small, minor, and easily passed by can actually make a huge difference in the final piece.

 

Exactly what i was thinking when i made this thread. It also has that small community feel were every one know each other to me. You and tr1 Were the people who inspired me to start graphics about half a year ago and already researching for a career in design. Thanks

I remember getting flamed when i first started graphics for telling people what i thought (on other forums) and Sythe is loads different and it really matters.

 

Something so very minor that you picked up on and I didn't was the oversharpened C4D in my most recent signature - it was a tiny flaw, but your keen eye saw it and the simple blurring of it sexed up my depth a LOT more ^_^

 

I hope this is true. I'm quite the critique myself... and I love designing, tho it's hard for me to make time for it now-a-days.

What is a critique :x , kinda new to forum gfx

 

Critique is basically what a critic for art, movies etc does. Comments on the goods and bads, gives their opinion and makes a judgment of the piece as a whole. Often these are very personal and biased, and may even attack the piece in question.

Here we prefer to use constructive criticism (which includes critiquing a piece of art) to help the user improve, without purposely offending them or their work.

 

Yeah well the critique that the not so expirienced people recieve, is for they're own best
