light/shadow balance on the focal is wrong. Either increase the shadow underneath his head or tone down the high constast lighting

 

Yea I somewhat fucked up in that area - I began sharpening, blurring, applying image, etc etc, and THEN realized it needed to be fixed - after I had made at least 10 or so duplicated and then edited layers. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow - I'll probably just take out the blue lighting beneath its chin, increasing the prominence of the shadowing Cheers squidge

 

Quality isn't looking to great, either you overused filters or it isn't saved right.

 

I used a little low-quality stock unfortunately...

 

Updated with a new version - fixed the shadowing and highlights (I hope), and tweaked a few of the filters.

 

I love the depth you ALWAYS have in tags. Is there anyway i could get the psd for learning purposes of course?

Only thing i see that i don't like is the c4d in the top right is over sharpened (the tip of it).

Kind of confused whats happening in the middle of the picture bu overall that's a great job!

It takes a while for the eye to realize what the focal is actually. The lighting is a little overdone and its way too blurry.

 

I agree on the focal part. But the lighting and blurryness isn't over done in my opinion.
