The Aim Off The Game.

Basically just a thread to voice my strongly minded oppinion about the game...

I have played since 2004 on and off on various different accounts, But what have i gained, i had fun at the start yeah with wildy, staking etc..

I really was hooked bad back then, It's like the game was a hard addictive drug, i made excuses to my freinds cause i wouldn't go out and i wanted too stay in and play..

But on another note i am glad i have got my life back on track, and i spend no more then 4 hours on it now and then.

I'm guessing there is alot off Runescape players who can relate to this thread, i just wish i turned back the hands off time cause i feel like i wasted so many hours off my life, obviously there is no one to blame but myself.

Now i have a job a nice girlfreind, go out to the pub with the lads. I just wanna inform other players set a limit don't get caught up in it too much.

 

I have all that stuff too and I play Runescape.

 

I wasn't saying you can't have a good lifestyle if you play Runescape, I'm saying if you play outrageous ammounts off time it can effect your lifestyle.

 

I know what you were saying. I play Runescape for about 3-4 hours a day now, but previously I played upwards of 12 hours a day and still had all that stuff. The only time I didn't was back when I was younger and I'd ditch all my friends after school to watch Dragonball Z and they'd get mad and not hang out with me.

I;m kind of the same, I realized that there wasn't much I could gain from the game since I just botted any way so I quit and have much more time now for other things.

 

haha i like this outlook, because a lot of rs players have up to 10 in real life friends that all play rune together, and god dammit i wish i did too, i'd enjoy rune so much more if most of my mates played, but sadly those that do are obsessed with pures and shit, and i'm wanting to settle down with a main and enjoy the games solid content [not fight 12 - 13 year olds that call safe when your 10/50hp].

im starting to leave rune, got end of years and Fallout:New Vegas is rocking up soon mainly F:NV, fuck school haha!

but yeah. i see where your coming from Rune Fisher, ive spent many hours grinding the rune, it was good while i did it though, thats what matters most for me.

ikr? it looks so damn sexy, god damn! i look forwards to throwing dynamite, using iron sights [woooo] and modding my guns, generally fucking shit up. yeeah. if only you could throw dynamite in rune.. might consider putting another 100 hours into it [don't suggest chinchompas, animal cruelty is bad. even if they're carnivorous]

 

with botting i now have a nice life , but before i was fine too. I would never give up hanging with friends to runescape

 

Seriously this game is too addicting back when I was in 6-8 grade I was addicted and my grades would fall because instead of doing projects or studying I was playing this game.

I credit botting for getting me off the game I have no will power to play legit anymore (lol?)

 

I Credit grand exchange for making me quit, O how i use to love ripping off noobs.

 

Completely same here OP. I used to play quite often, spending all day playing, training, talking, pking ect.

I have now quit "gameplay" and simply get on 2 times a day to merchant. I average 10m / day whilst getting on 15 minutes twice.

 

I play about 2 minutes a day, my bot plays 8-12 hours a day

 

There are many people who can play long hours and still be able to live normal lives. Don't blame a game for something you had complete control over to begin with.

I don't play much anymore, but I usually have people train for me, since I'd rather spend time doing other things online that don't involve mass clicking for hours on end.

 

I was like that for about a year and a half. Then once I found out about botting I spent more time on my social life and hw. Then parents caught me botting and totally banned me from playing rs. So now after 8 months im completely over the game and may start botting to selll accounts and earn real cash lol.

 

I was hooked pre-summoning era before JaGeX went crazy and took everything away. I spent hours on end sitting in World 2 falador park merchanting, staking in the duel arena and wildy PKing. Quit as soon as all that was removed. Though i'm both sad and glad that it happend like that, I do miss the old days but am happy that I got over it.

 

I used to play a lot when all my friends did, and now I think I have developed an addiction to botting. I literally can no longer play this game legit without getting bored, it saddens me.

 

That's why I started botting I don't play legit often anymore, and I have more free time to hang with friends

But I agree, it was EXTREMELY addictive when I was younger :\
