New rare item out on the street?

I saw this item in my bank and looked into it. It isn't sell-able in the grand exchange, you can only trade it. Then i went to a few players in w2 who would know of it and didn't have a clue what it is. i rune wiki'd it and they said it was a discontinued item that isn't tradeable in the G.E. You can only trade them by player. So what is up with them?

Not sure where you got your information, but from what I gather - That item isn't tradeable.

it is tradeable. i was trading it to players yesterday. and it cant be made anymore

if it cant be made = discounted

 

It sounds as if it is discontinued, however I would be willing to bet that Jagex WILL nerf it, especially if it was obtained in a quest.

 

Hmm, may become "rare" in a few years time

The fact that people know so little about it, wouldn't make it too popular to attempt to trade as a "rare."

 

i tried to make them. you can't.

 

If you're right about it being discontinued - leave it safely in your bank for a few years and then try and sell it for way more. Rares can only go up in value.

 

are you sure its tradeable?? it says on the rs wikia that it isnt

 

I was able to get a damped tinderbox at Lumbridge's Cellar, while i was jumping on a jumping stone and fell onto the lake, and tinderbox got damped.

edit: nvm, the tinderbox doesn't get damped.

 

I don't think it's rare, even after 10 years its still gonna be junk which wastes bank spaces.

 

At the moment It isn't a rare but if they take out that quest but leave that still tradeable then It probably will become one.

Sounds like a discontinued rare to me. But if Jagex finds out about it I'm sure they'll nerf it right away.

It says that it is tradeable in runehq. Just hope it will still be tradeable if it becomes a rare

Interesting. Never heard of before. Hold on to it for a while and maybe it will gain some value.
