Okay, so is he an off-topic mod / have perms for that section or not? Sometimes his name is listed under 'Moderators' for that section, other times it's not.

He has permissions to multiple sections on the site, including spam forum (not all of off topic though).

 

He's only a Market Moderator.

 

This isn't feedback, feedback is commenting giving FEEDBACK on the mod, your asking a question.

If he felt it needed to be closed it would have been so or he would have stated that it should.

He answered the question, because he is obligated to as his status shows. He was helping him out, just because he didn't close it does not mean he didn't post in the wrong forum, notice the forum he posted in is wrong, whether or not he closed or not. So you my friend are not very smart. You guys need to get off weasel and grow up. Just learn he is trying to do whats best for the community, if you spent more time being respectful and helpful like him. Helping people out, letting them know when stuff is in the wrong section, you might figure out where he is coming from in his posts, and reports.
