It's pretty much true on some level. Kids come and go on Sythe asking how to bot, where to get free bots, etc.

Jagex's mass banning (which was a good thing) helps get rid of those same kids, so that more experienced botters can be left bot correctly.

I have been botting for over 2 years now, I have noticed so many bots I would probably say it is in the 5 figure numbers.

I'm level 138 with 2400+ totals. I've never botted and I dislike people who bot. They take away too much from this game. Not to mention the time jagex spends on fighting bots could be put to better use to further improve the game.

 

People like you make me laugh, really its just a game stop taking it so serious. I feel sorry for all that time you wasted when you could have spent it actually having a life. No offence.

Bots are awesome until people abuse.

 

u know what... bots did ruin runescape to be honest... i remember when there were hundreds of lvl 3s at yew trees but that was it.... they ruined the economy.. but i bot... correctly... been banned once for being mentally retarded and doing pure ess... so this mass ban is a good thing.... less botters means less raw items being produced... which means increase in price... which means smart botters = richer

 

I agree with gohan, you only get banned if you bot like a idiot.

Lol, pretty funny picture. On topic with what every one is saying though, botting actually helps the economy in some cases. No one is going to rune ess. them sell because there are much better ways to do it but when you have botters to mine it then it keeps the price low and makes runecrafting a great money maker skill.

 

What would happen to the many siblings of people who bot? That isn't really fair just to IP ban someone and not think of others who might play on the same address.
