Suggestion for Sythe Name Changing! READ!

Alright so.. Maybe this isn't the smartest ideal.. but I was just thinking..

And I'v suggested maybe, If people want to change there sythe Names that they can pay $10 And that will go towards Donations on sythe.

Like if people change there sythe name, Only those people who have should have something on there main Profile that says " Old User Name " Or something... So we know there old user name to Prevent scamming!

And people should be allowed to change it only ONE time.

Just a ideal to help out sythe with Donations/ more Money.

Spyike was named spyike27O even after he requested it to be changed after even being a $500+ donator. I doubt sythe would change it for $10 if they wouldn't for $500. It took him being a global to get it changed.

 

Yeah, I think Donators deserve to get there name changed, Especially if there a Mod/Global etc.. and They Donated Atleast $100.

But I don't know, If this did happen I think it should charge $10.00-$15.00 At Most, It would help Sythe, By getting more Donations + More Money.

Im pretty sure Name changing is for staff only to make there names look more Profesional.

 

There needs to be some compromising with name changing for high donor's. And I'm not talking about myself either, I'm talking about the people who went over and beyond and donated more then whats needed.

Even if this is on the DNS list, I support; but only for the $200 to $300 donor's. Moderator's donate their time, we donate our hard earned money. We deserve to look just as professional, but obviously not on the same level.

Whoever is going to lock this thread, before you do please explain exactly why this would never be allowed for high donor's?

 

I don't agree with thte name changing but I half agree with what Matt Hasty is saying.

Personaly I can't see any legit reason why someone would want to change their name. Look at active account sellers like Rsprod/Lucster what benificial reasons to them would a name change be? Nobody would be able to tell who they are until they click the thread and if any of you are like me and only buy off of trusted sellers you always look at the name first. If you don't recognise the name you move on.

Now for high donars I think a color/font change would be suitable. They will stand out from the rest of the normal members like myself who hasn't donated anything.

 

I agree, there should be name changes, I could easily code it for Sythe.
In fact I will start now.

 

If a high donor were to have a very unprofessional name, they deserve the right to change it. So here's my compromising list, for the staff to look at.

- Somewhat similar, to the original.
- Not 100% different; such as jumping from the name Susan to something like Ham.
- Could only be changed once, and would have to be accepted by Sythe himself first.
- They'd need to put their original names', as their user title for a period of time that seems suitable.
- Must have a valid reason.

*Me just brain storming.*

As for the font color change, I say BLAH!. ALTHOUGH the font change itself is an amazing idea!!!!

There are a few items on the DNS list that should eventually become open for reconsideration. As for Name Changes, perhaps the time is now? I think we all understand us along with members of the community may have selected names without much thought and/or perhaps when they were younger. If ever Name Changes are to be considered, I would recommend the following be considered as basic guidelines/rules:

1. Member will have a minimum of 1-year with Sythe.
2. Member will only be allowed one Name Change in the life of his/her membership.
3. Member must be a $50+ donor.
4. Member will not have/had any past major rule violations and/or a TWC within a period of 1-year.
5. Member will be required to place previous name in his/her signature formatted per Sythe requirements. This previous name will be displayed for 1-year.

Considering suggestions that maintain productive/positive community membership is a step in recognizing that our members and Sythe are all getting older.. Support.

 

+ name change must be administrator approved.
Support, I chose my name when younger and regret it.

 

I'd donate $45 for a name change.

Loving this idea, I've always wanted my name changed to like "HamJam" instead of hamjamk... I wouldn't mind donating $50 for a name change

Support. I chose my name without any consideration, and now regret it. Seriously, take a good look and tell me that my name looks like it was chosen wisely.

I, for one, would love to have a name change.

 

For the most part, I'd only support minor name adjustments.

 

Make it 2 years and $100 donator. Also, be able to do only minor changes.

 

$100 donator is the way to go IMO.

As stated previously, minor changes only.
And I think the $50+ donator is crucial, that should be the absolute minimum.

As for me, I'm quite happy with my name.
But a great idea nonetheless.
