Isn't that the purpose of the infraction system? To prevent this from happening?

I've been here 5 years and have a pretty low post count, mainly because I'm here for botting, trading, and little else. =)

I think some one with a higher post count has more to lose than some one with 10 or 20 post count. I wouldn't consider it like an amount of vouches, for me if a user has 100 posts and 100 vouches they are much more trustworthy than a user with 2000 posts and only 4 vouches. I think it's best to trade with some on that has a higher post count or an earlier join date because it shows they have been here longer and have more to lose if they are banned.

I don't base trustworthiness over post count, although it is a recongizable factor to include in your assessment per se. Ranks, post count, vouches, status (moderator, mm, etc) are all things, although when people are starting "out" their services, all you can base trust off is post count, and it seems to get inflated when you're nothing else.

post count does not show your trustworthiness. You can be in the sfa and various non-sales sections until your a grandmaster, and not sell anything. your 1st sale, you are just as trustworthy as someon who jsut joined (in the market at least)

I would say post count would be pretty improtant, to me imo, since it takes times making like 100+ post at least, then why would you scam someone for something SMALL. If it's something big your buying/selling then thats a whole different idea.

I've never had someone deny a trade with me because of my post count.

If someone is unwilling to trade using an well trusted MM they are most likely trying to scam, despite their excuses.

I find post count only really matters if your post have meaning to them, but if your a spammer with 2k post you'll still be considered less loved than someone with 10 post that had good meaning and something worth reading.

You do know you can get up to about 100 post a day if you browse around sythe and post on just active topics.

Doesn't mean anything imo, All it is is posts, nothing to do with trading what so ever.

Simple. If you get scammed Report them w/ proof and they will be IP Banned. If not forever then they will have a "Trade With Caution" Title forever. :)

I think a higher post does mean something. Browsing around and posting takes time and time is money. If you have 1k+ posts, that shows that your in the community.

I think it matters as a way determining how dedicated someone is to the community, but like donations it doesn't necessarily mean you're legit. You can scam a lot more than $5 in one scam that you use donor status as a excuse for being legit, or not going first.

High post count = Zero value
    Donator status = Zero value
Mod status etc etc = Zero value

The ONLY thing that matters is how trusted the person your dealing with believes you to be. How they get that belief is up to them.

According to Sythe, donators are more important than non-donors.

What does that have to do with trust? Nothing.
