Jagex resetting levels!!!

I don't belive they were botters, I think the've been made scapegoats.

 

Nothing new, A-logs are known to mess up.

 

I'm sorry but wtf is wrong with jagex if they we're botting they should of just banned them in the first place not reset their levels. They haven't reset levels since rsc days.

 

What does he mean by "macro client"? like a botclient?
How do they know if you're account is using a different client?
is it only with signed clients?

 

Id rather the reset of levels than a perm ban

 

well they have been permanently banned, so i think the reset of levels was there until they figured out what was going on.... then they perm banned them

 

they made it seem like they just permed them for talking about it on the forums.:sick:

If this is only affecting fishers, you know that it is a bug. Though, it may not be a bug. This is if you're fishing at The Living Rock Cavern, maybe JaGeX has set something up there, secretly, resetting levels on those who have botted.

As the person posted on the article in the Runescape forums, he's saying he didn't bot, bringing us back to it being a bug. I don't know, thoughts?

It seems sketchy that they only ban botters from the fishing category when, personally to me isn't the most botted skill, mining seems more reasonable. Maybe there is a bug going around and they trying to hide it. Seems like a conspiracy to me. That's just my opinion.

 

I'll agree with the person posting above; they only got banned because they inquired about it on the forums-- had they not said anything, I'd think their accounts would still be fine.

Kind of sad, really, but if Jagex does simply revert levels (removing gained items would make sense, too), they would not have to cancel people's membership, while at the same time they'd be dealing with botters.

However, then there would be a lot of in-game talk about people who botted and got reset, and that would desensitize the subject, and everyone would think botting was just like offensive language -- no biggie.

 

Lol irl. This is def. not a bug I think fagex is just messing around with the botters.

 

i highly doubt its bott related unless they used the worst and most primitive bots known to man i run a botting service and currenlty have my new pure on a vps and its been running for almost 22hours now and i see no sign of levels changeing and none of my customers have reported this to me either...

 

It has only been happening to fishers. Plus, it very well could be related to botting. Jagex has stressed the prohibitation of bots boldly, ever since Runescape has been out there. And, I think it's getting to the point where Jagex has to take further action, because, clearly a temporary ban isn't going to make the cut. At this point, Jagex appears to show no sympathy for botters - past or present (that's if this whole level resetting thing is correct).

Wait, wut? They reset the fishing lvls they botted instead of banning? Then he made a thread about it on the forums and gets permed. If you were botting and your fishing lvl reset when you've recently been botting it, why would you speak up? I would rather lay low for a month or two and resume botting rather then make a scene and make the mods look further into your account.
