Battle for WoW vs Runescape!!

And pugs aren't bad, I have ALWAYS been in pugs(never raided w/ a guild), and my server is shit.

And WOW>RS. You're probably just needing help understanding the game if you think RS>WoW

 

World of Warcraft is the winner by a longshot, but why make two entirely different games be chosen which one is the best when World of Warcraft has classes, more skills and spells, more stuff to kill, dungeons, a helluva lot of land to travel, and more equipment. The only reason many people would probably say Runescape is better is because either they havent played World Of Warcraft, or because Runescape is free to play. But still, what I'm trying to point out is Runescappe and World of Warcraft are two totally different games. Runescape, is a browser game, while World of Warcraft is a download and play game, so of course (no OFFENCE) World of Warcraft has more options than Runecape.

Have you ever done the fight? MCs are easy to handle/down, if the only person who stuffs up is one bloke who fails his bite its no drama.

Sorry I meant if a bite gets MCd, you just kill him and move on, tty having the OT taunt if you can. No one really dies cept for the MCd guy.

Surprisingly you have done a great job in displaying both games, though I suggest you shrink down LK and Fester

 

I do agree that they are hard to compare due to the differences in them, however, not impossible.

For those of you saying WoW has more to do, I disagree entirely. Based on what you want in a game will lead your opinion in different manners. If you want to PvP / PvE, of course you're not gonna take runescape. The option to do so is there, but it is clearly not the drawing point. Where as in WoW that clearly is the main purpose of the game. If you are looking to play an MMO without the use of (or very little) combat, why would you play WoW? It's totally combat based. If you want a balance, well then other factors come into play.

As for your points on the leveling systems. I find that the runescape leveling system is far greater than WoW's. The simple fact that it is more difficult to level is better in my opinion. What does being maxed on WoW mean? What about being maxed on runescape? In my opinion option two is more impressive.

Someone brought up the point that WoW's gameplay continues for longer after you max. THe same is true for runescape, which is why the majority of max players continue to play. New content is constantly is released; and there is always more to acheive.

I find that is the main reason people play runescape: acheivment in a game.

Comparing graphics is redundant, runescape will never compete, however if that is what you look for in a game, any comparison in games is pointless.

This may seem biased, I have played WoW very little; however, I believe that depending on what the gamer is looking for will give their opinion on which is better.

 

This has been posted a million (exaggeration) times... it will never be for certain, no game is "better" since all games have their pros and cons. STOP posting this nonsense, all you get it "This and That" because everybody likes different things.

 

Both are great games, but imo is kinda unfair to compare those two games.

Runescape was made with java man. Which is ridiculous to think about the game being as good as it is being made from java in some guys basement lol.

I for one like WoW ALOT better then Rs. I actually quit RS because alot of the updates. Even though I like WoW better, I must say alot of your arguments are irrelevant and like someone said in this thread said it's like comparing apples and oranges.

Overall I think World of Warcraft is better, but they both have there perks-
WoW- Classes, Races, Talents, Multiple Skills, Professions, Graphics

RuneScape- Quests, Cheaper, Mini-Games, TONS of skills.

 

No, because they're completely different games, like Ratchet and Clank to Counterstrike

 

How would they be completely different if both are classified as MMORPGs?
