Jagex resetting levels!!!

If you dont bot in runescape, you should get that checked out.

Look at the adventurer's log.

It says 'I achieved 84 fishing,' then for the levels it shows that it is level 16. It's not just their words.

 

It really sucks when legit players get effected.
I'm going to assume they're legit players anyway.

When you're botting, you know there's a chance you're going to get banned, but Jagex can't even get legit accounts right, the fucktards.

Haha Jagex knows that their players will just level them up again/stay member longer. It's not a glitch they're going to fix soon.

 

Jagex would do that! They are pretty much total assholes, which is pretty sad. Runescape used to be pretty fun.

 

is is probably gonna be all botted skills that jagex can detect.

 

Of course this happens when I'm botting fishing, I'm 97 right now, if I get reset to like 40, I'll be pissed off.

 

Oh damn. I wouldn't worry too much, though. Only a couple reports on the Runescape Forums regarding this.

 

lol, thats kinda a good idea to defeat bots, and jagex wont lose profit also.

Very weird, they may be doing this instead of a ban to punish botting.

 

Having your stats be 120 isn't reflected in the adventurer's log.
I don't think it's a bug.


Also, anyone got any ideas as to why this is only hitting fishers?

 

If you check these names from hiscores or a log you find out that both of them are banned. Looks like they did this because they used macros.. maybe they are going to level reset botters in future..? I can't see any other reasonable explanation for they doing something like this but testing.. I don't understand jagexs logic here.. first level reset then wait a couple days and then banhammer?

Resetting skills and then permanently banning players? What is the point of that.

 

Wow if that's true... Jagex is being pretty childish as previous users have said. What do they think to accomplish by lowering peoples' stats and then banning them? I really don't understand the actual point

 

The point of banning them after resetting their levels has no purpose. Maybe those botters were the first to get a taste of Jagex's beta testing of their level reset script. But if Jagex decide to reset players stats if they are found botting does make sense. Jagex don't want to risk losing more money by banning botters because then they cancel their membership. So Jagex alternatively does not ban the players but resets their level.

 

It has to be a bug, unless Jagex is now resetting stats for botting, but I doubt that.

 

People caught on to their new tactics and so they had to ban them so as to not look bad. I don't think those people were supposed to post about it and garter attention.

This looks good, bot a tonne of money on an account, have stats reset and be a level 3 with no skills, and 300m
