Starting Merching Clan, Need Partners

I'm a fairly wealthy player, my total assets probably add up to around 150-200m. I made it all through sniping and item-flipping, possibly the best way to make money through the grand exchange if you have limited resources.

I'm looking to start a merchanting clan, now I'm going to be honest all merchanting clans are Ponzi schemes, I was a general in one for a while, then even I got kicked out when the owner made his share and left.

I'm looking for a few partners with assets about 50m+ and have medium-high experience in price fluctuation/manipulation.

3-4 partners would be best, everyone would get an equal cut of the pie (except for myself of course) (share) of the virtual company, everyone would have an equal responsibility to advertise to the general public.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime, let's take advantage of Runescape's close to laissez-faire economy and it's loose regulations, and reap the virtual gold of the commonwealth.

You may say "Gear" but doesn't Runescape have like laws that prevent price manipulation, such as a certain quantity of items you can buy in a certain time period?

Yes, but it's easily exploited, because in real life the government can control the acts of a company as a whole, but Jagex can't in Runescape, because we're not an official enterprise just a loosely banded group of entrepreneurs that all invest in one item( or stock)

"Few" partners wont help at all You need to net at 2B minimal to make anything off this. Also money isn't just that, skills to trade-off your junk, etc, etc.. It just wont work

 

Are you saying you need 2b to start a buyout merch? I've see rather successful buyouts with 100-200m, its all about choosing the right item.

 

But naturally the return is lower than a buyout with 2b

 

All leaders need followers, when I get a few partners together we can start marketing to the mass public, it'll work like a trickle down effect, once we (the partners) take what we need we pass it down the corporate ladder. Just like every other corporation in America.

However obviously we will not be the only investors.

I wish you the best of luck, but imo stick to flipping ... way less hassle and work ... and TBH 700m isnt enough to affect a buyout, I was under the impression than most private merch clans asked for atleast 500-1Bil per person to even bother trying to do a good buyout, I just don't think you have the cashflow to keep this going. Lets say you actually get enough people on the priv, side and advertise enuf to fuel a public side ... You won't have anywhere near enough to protect your private side if and when your public side dumps early.

Just my 2 cents.

 

Is ur clan ment to dump early on the public or just to let the item raise as high as possible and junktrade/RWT ur junk?

 

We'll eventually convert to making real money by starting a partnership with a gold-selling website that doesn't try to cheat us, or even if we have enough money start our own.

These never, ever work, and there have been several substantial attempts at getting one going.

 

You're investing only 400M and want to trio the merch with that your invest? If its public clan, then you talking non sense about the 'small amounts'. If its private, then hide ur 400M invests lols.
