Chaotic Weapons

What is in your opinion the best chaotic weapon
state the weapon and then please explain why
im planning on getting 80 attack and dungeonering on my maxed zerker
and im debating weather the chaotic rapier or chaotic maul
i have also heard good things about the chaotic staff
but i just want to know what your opinion is :]​

 

I've seen the rapier in action in PvP and is absolutely destroys people. I'd recommend getting it, because the maul is slow and 2h. I haven't heard anything about the staff so I have no opinion on it.

 

Cls - Gwd, other bosses. Rapier - Slayer, regular training. Maul - Pking/waterfiends.

 

mattjew - iv heard that the rapier is good with high defence, since you can combo it with high level shields, but since im 45 defence, the best i can do is a simple rune defender, so im still debating on that

I would get a cls. Pretty fast and good.

 

for pking get cls, it has a great hit rate and is very powerful, my friend has chaotic maul and he says he hates it because its too slow and people safe when they see him pull it out. rapier is also good, but not as good as cls

 

Then your friend can't pk Maul isn't used as main weapon.

 

no he uses it has k0 weapon, people see him switch and the freak out and safe

 

I would go with a chaotic rapier. It's fast, hits high, and is great for hybriding and straight up melee.

 

Haven't seen Rapier that much, but heard it was good.

Longsword is very good. It is just like a one hand godsword.

 

I would go with CLS. It's still faster than godsword, but stronger if you use a rune defender.

 

Get chaotic rapier. Insane.

All your need to find fights , not even a spec weapon at all..

Once this guy rushed me with claws and I 3 hitted the mofo...

You hit 40s like theres no tomorow (With 99 strength) and you hit a 50+ once every 10 hits basically.

No - Its sronger without it....
But I use DFS Veng hit dfs hit can 3 hit em...LAwl

 

for zerks you do not have to fight def 99s I would strongly recommend the rapier
mauls isn t thaaaaat good in my opinion like cls/rapier. Many others state the same

 

CLS still allows up to two foods eaten between hits so you can forget about comboing to death unless you max 2-3 times in a row (very unlikely).

Maul can combo to death just by the huge hits (its literally an INFINITE BGS SPEC with upgraded accuracy), wont even matter that they can eat twice. Rapier is an upgraded whip, and IMO not worth it UNLESS you max your str bonus with torso/bgloves/fcape/imbued rings/pvp arm. If you plan to welfare you'd be wasting the rapier as plenty of others will hit comparable numbers to you with better gear +whip.


To compare some numbers:
We will assume 99 strength, 15% pray, super pot, zerk helm, rune def (where applicable), str ammy, climbers, bgloves.

CLS Max Hit: 503
Rapier Max Hit:459
Maul Max Hit: 572


If we add max str bonus (degradeable) +imbued rings.
CLS Max Hit: 549 ~9% increase from normal gear
Rapier Max Hit:505 ~10% increase from normal gear
Maul Max Hit:618 ~8% increase from normal gear


As you can see the numbers show a trend that the more you're willing to risk, the greater the effect of the rapier increases. We can also infer that if we lower the quality in gear, we get a greater decrease in effectiveness in this order (1.Rapier 2. CLS 3. Maul). In welfare gear/badly quested gear, the maul reigns superior while the CLS (in my opinion) is never the first option for PvP.


So in conclusion, if you plan to welfare get a Maul.
If you plan to go bonesaw style, get a Rapier.

 

Get the Cls or rapier for sure.

wow........i think ima go with this post haha, yea i plan on doing some good old range to melee k0s so im probably sticking with the maul

 

cls for pking def. it owns and is pretty fast.

 

Rapier is the best overall. It's good for slayer and pking, longsword is good for boss killing and maul is only a pk weapon.

 

well since ur a zerker u pk alot so u should get chaotic maul -.- duh...
