[Military] Who's Joining? [Military]

I just would like to see who's joining the Military, and if your joining which branch, mos would you be joining? As for me im joining the Marine Corp Reserve for Infantry. I will be joining 2 weeks from now after i take my asvab, and im currently undergoing the delayed entry program which means i work out every Monday & Wednesday until i get to boot camp. This has been an incredible challenge for me and so far im becoming a better person for it? So everyone tell me if your joining the Military, or if you have ever been in the military. Yes, i will be going threw all this and will still play Runescape after im done. LOL.^_^

I'm glad to see people wanting to fight for their country. My father was a marine for a very long time. He said it was the toughest thing he has ever done. I have no interest in joining the military but have a lot of respect for the people that do. All I have to say is good luck and don't give up in boot camp!

 

Giving up is not an option for a Marine, and tell your dad i respect him. It takes alot to strive to do something for your country.

 

I haven't decided if I'm joining the Marines before college, or just going straight into college. I'm not going to lie, I kinda want to go straight to college to party .

 

That's one way to look at it but if you don't start training you will never make it as a Marine, and after all that partying you will be so outta shape i doubt they even except you. As from my stand point with your attitude id suggest you strive for something else instead of the military.

 

Have you considered NROTC?

 

That's always a good option for someone wanting to go to College first, Gunnery Sergeant has been going threw school talking to are seniors about this program.

 

I don't have much respect for our CURRENT military. I don't think Afghanistan or Iraq(even though technically our combat role has ended Americans are still being killed daily) are wars worth fighting, and i actually strongly oppose them. The majority of people the enroll are tools that can't think for themselves. Hope you liked being owned by the government.

 

That's simply your opinion, not everyone join's the military to go to war. Somebody such as myself just wants to go threw the challenge and come back a better person. I agree with what your saying but heres what i say about that.

Why am i fighting someone else's war? its not about that, its about the men beside you that keeps you going. Someone that doesn't join because of those beliefs are just ignorant and believes what the media tells them.

 

I'm currently trying to get into West Point.

 

After college i am planing to do the Navy Jag Corps.

Its those tools that allow you the right the say that. Also they have no choice to go over to Iraq or they will be arrested.I guarantee you are one of them "Tools" that run around trying to bastardize the American Military and would never have the balls or courage to protect the country that protects you. Do not like your Government? Then fix it go to the polls and vote for someone that will, If you do not do that you have no right to slander America Or the Military.

 

I've wanted to join the Air Force, but I'm not so sure.

 

High Standards, Great Pay, Top of the Line. Air Force is one of the greater branches of the military and im sure you would like it. Its like my dad told me if they get stationed with army or Marines and its not to there living standards you will get a check for it, There very well maintained haha. Wont hear any complaints from me about joining the Air Force tons of opportunities but its up to you to take that plunge.

 

Sounds very cool. Certainly one of my top career choices.

 

My 2 choices i made was either Air Force or the Marines, and it ended up being the Marines because Gunnery Sergeant has a special interest in me. Either way Ive liked what Ive been seeing so far and have no complaints, joining the Military is good for you no matter what branch.

 

Now it's just a matter of finding which career is best. I can't really fly a plane, so I was thinking along the lines of an engineer.

 

If I did go to college right after high school, I wouldn't even consider joining the military after I graduate. I have to make the decision by the beginning of next year, so I can start training.

 

I'm not joining any branch, but I have a few friends leaving for the Air Force and the Army soon.

It's a great way to fund college expenses and find a future career. Serving live combat would be the thing that turns me off.
